Congratulations to the [H]orde for a new PPD record

Sobering thought, if you lot matched OCAU in ppd per active member, you would already be at 3.3 megapoints per day. Numbers tell. The primary recruiting base of OCAU is Australia and NZ, total population of about 26 million. As opposed to the primary recruiting base of the [H]orde, US and...

    Did ASSMAN blow a fuse?!

Weather's still bloody cold here (Sydney). I fold with the GrumpyOldMen for OCAU. From time to time one of us has a stroke or heart bypass and production dips. My good mate Twrecks was released from hospital last week after a four-way bypass. So down for a while, but bouncing back.

Best LCD Setup for CAD/PShop Use

IMHO stay away from everying mentioned so far and consider only an LCD using a Super IPS panel from LG Phillips. For example, the HP L2335. An SIPS panel will always produce better colour fidelity than any MVA PVA or TN panel. The only other top quality choice would be a professional...

Which lcd is better the Samsung 970P or the ViewSonic VP930?

There are numerous reports of a backlight bleed problem at the four corners of the VP930 in this forum and elsewhere. I'd stay away from it.

My Review of the Viewsonic vx924

Many are still badly misled by the lies the manufacturers pump out for the latency of theid LCDs. You would be well served to have a read of the THG review of this product. 4-5 ms latency is a lie. Actual measurements are shown here...

Laughing so hard, tears are rolling down mmy cheeks. Take exactly what like a man? The runs keep piling onto the board, and it gets a bit boring without any real competition.

    Sneakernetting?

An easier way: Set up a new client on the upload/download machine. Copy from the work machine F@H client: the work folder, queue.dat and FAHlog.txt. These are all that you need. Don't bother with User IDs or registry entries. Dump the three files from the work machine into the u/d machine...

    Still haven't pulled a QMD

The easier way to add flags w/o going intp regedit is: Control panel-> adminisrative tools-> services-> F@H service -> Properties Add flags in "Path to executables" add "-advmethods -forceasm" without the quotes.

Funny that, I've never actually seen anyone here drink a Fosters, though I have seen it done in London, NY, Tokyo and Toronto. You'd be mad to drink the piss. The power of adertising, I guess.

    Problems with 600 pointers.

You have plenty of ram. If you are using firefox while opening a video you might get the problem you describe, particularly if using tabbed browsing. Tabbed browsing really chewa cpu cycles. The f@h cores will do this only if configured to a high priority. Always set to lowest priority with...
