The AI cheats in Microsoft Hearts. If you EVER try to short yourself on spades, you WILL end up with the queen of spades. You will inevitably get either the queen, the king, or the ace on the pass, something that is statistically unlikely to happen every time.
Somehow I doubt anyone has leveled up to 20 in an hour. Even with an experienced runner taking you through the missions, it still takes far longer than that. Most guilds that powerlevel people up to 20 can do it in 20 hours or so.
Which will probably never happen.......besides you can just use the memory stick, so who cares about writing UMDs?
I've been happy with Hot Shots Golf, Wipeout Pure, and Lumines. Haven't tried anything else.
Guild Wars is fun, but not too similar to Diablo. Monsters take awhile to die, it's very hard to solo unless you design your character for it, getting "uber" items is a very small and unimportant part of the game. It's more about having a balanced and effective team and working together well...
I had the same thing happen awhile ago. It helps a LOT if you have a PC speaker and can listen for the beep codes. Look up the codes somewhere online. If you don't have a PC Speaker, hopefully you have some spare parts around. If not......you've got to just start buying stuff and replacing...
Actually, you got one thing wrong. The rate of descent will not change as the bullet slows down due to air resistance. It would increase relative to the horizontal velocity, but it'll continue to increase at 9.8 m/s^2, same as it always would.
But yeah, use that 3200 feet per second...
I think S0m30n3 needs to figure out what a "vector" is before this conversation will make any sense.
Another minor point, gravity doesn't only affect the bottom of an object, it affectst the whole thing. There's no difference in gravitational force on the top of the bullet versus the bottom...
To offset the nay-sayers........no dead pixels on my PSP.
Firmware 1.0 (Japanese version) can run unsigned code, so if you want homebrew games and emulators right now, get the Japanese version and take your chances on the sticky square button. If you can afford to wait a bit for downloaded...
The right side was a PITA to get off the first time. Take the front panel off and just work at it, it'll come off eventually. It does flex a disturbing amount. I was convinced I was going to break it, or was missing a screw or something, then POP, it came off.
I like my P160, but I'd...
We're still trying to get companies to release PC games on DVD at all, and here people are griping about the 360 not featuring a next-gen DVD. Ah, what a world.
There are always alternate ways of getting CD-keys, if you're not going to be playing online. I really have no problem doing that sort of chicanery when I simply lost the physical CD key somewhere. Not piracy when you're staring at the CD.
It's pretty simply, really. Smaller muscles give you more precise control. Smaller muscles get tired more easily and are harder to strengthen. Most people, even people who work out, do not have incredibly strong muscles in their hands and wrist, which is more or less what you use for a mouse...
Boot order is correct, the boot hard drive is listed first. I'm guessing the boot.ini file did get messed up somehow, but I already did a Windows repair and it didn't solve anything.
I just did a search and there doesn't seem to be a boot.ini. That's a problem. I'll deal with that...
I recently had to replace my motherboard and videocard (some sort of massive hardware failure....alas). Anyway, now every time I boot, it'll give me the "BOOT DISK NOT FOUND" error unless I have a bootable CD in the drive. I've been sticking the WinXP CD in. If there's a bootable CD, it'll...
So I woke up this morning, and all of a sudden I get no video output. There weren't any storms or power spikes that anyone noticed last night. I have verified that the monitor is still working, but I can't narrow it down any farther than that. Unfortunately I have no spare parts lying around...
No serious injuries from tools, but I did have a couple fun incidents working in the lab.
I was working in a polymer lab, measuring nylon oil pipe degradation. I was doing viscosity measurements to test the molecular weight. Anyway, the procedure consists of dissolving the pipe in...
Cool idea.
Anyway, microwaves are 2450 Mhz. That happens to be the frequency that causes vibration in water molecules, which is what cooks your food. If you screwed with the frequency, it probably would no longer cook anything. It would be fun to try though, jack it up to 2600 or down to...
You have to like actually using tactics in your battles, not just outbuilding the enemy. If an enemy has more than a couple dozen guys left after a battle, you screwed up. The game is fairly tactically rich, if you manage to convince the AI to not be incredibly stupid (harder difficulties). I...
Yeah, not much to the game other than battles. Not to mention the computer is horribly incompetant at controlling armies, so you'd lose an awful lot of battles you could win otherwise. I think every one of my battle losses is a sea battle, I almost always get 10:1 kills/deaths or better on...
The problem with cheating isn't so much getting beaten by cheaters, or even having cheaters directly ruin your fun. The problem comes from the incredible paranoia and excuses created by knowing that people can cheat. If you don't cheat but do well, you will have to live with people accusing...
I used to be a really harcore MW4 player. Especially in Vengeance and Black Knight, you will see people take the largest mechs because kills are the only way to get points fast enough to win. Fortunately in Mercs, they altered the scoring so pretty much any mech can be played with a chance to...
Haven't played HL2 yet (too busy :( ) but Far Cry had some problems. After awhile, there's just a huge sameness to it. Zoom in, shoot guy in head. Move. Zoom in, shoot guy in head, move. Repeat ad naseum. It was fun the first two times I played through it, but now I get bored in a half...
I temporarily had a Luminglas running in the side panel of my computer, until I killed the poor disc :( Not quite sure how, I think I cracked the glass around the electrode and atmosphere leaked into the low pressure gas environment inside. I never had any interference problems, tested for...
Hair dryer works if you have a nice hot one, took too damn long for me though. I just used matches, hold them far enough away so the heat shrink isn't actually IN the flame or it'll char and look fugly. Kind of a pain, but better than buying yet another piece of hardware (heatgun) that I'd...
Ick.....purple plastic?
I've got an Antec P160 and have been very happy with it overall. I modded it a good bit so the slightly goofy initial look is gone.
Damn, I had one of those. It was actually the first computer I ever added any RAM to. Convienently, the motherboard is flat on the bottom and the RAM slots are UNDER the little grey overhang. It was quite possibly the hardest upgrade I've ever done. Horribly designed case.
Maybe a 4 if you're using a hole saw and you're a noob. It's really not that bad, especially if you have some experience with power tools. It's a little nerve wracking if you've never cut your case before, but you get over that fast. It would probably be maybe a six if you were trying to use...
