At its stock setting (29%) I cannot hear it over my other case fans. I usually bump it up to 80% when gaming and its definitely noticeable but personally does not bother me.
Went to my local best buy to pick up the BFG after calling and confirming they had 4 in stock... So I make it there and they aren't on the shelf yet and the guy said they won't unload them until tomorrow.
:(
hmm. well currently I have ipcop running on an old AMD t-bird box with 768 megs of ram but I want use that box for something else. so if I game this probably wouldn't be the best solution?
Bottom line is I want to run IPCop in a virtual machine on my main PC which runs VMWare Server. I know this can be done but I'm still trying to piece together exactly how to set up the network settings. I have three NICs and I'm thinking
1st NIC (Red) to DSL modem
2nd NIC (Green) to LAN...
I came home tonight to find my brand new Seagate 7200.10 320gig drive making these awful sounds. It sounded like someone was running a nail across a chalkboard. I instantly checked the event viewer and found tons of errors and warnings. So I powered down for a while and booted back up only to...
I've been at genmay since its inception. Senseless drama is what genmay is best known for. I think FLECOMs famous words were "CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY I'VE BEEN DE-ADMINED FROM MY OWN F*CKING FORUM?"
Long time member here and I would be completely for this idea. I'm currently a graduate student studying Network Security and I'd love to contribute to this.
Let's keep this ball rolling.
Google "core-temp". The guys over at XS say it's the most accurate. I usually check core-temp and Intel's TAT program. (can also be found by googling "Intel TAT")
 Might want to rethink that statement. Refer to this thread where people with the SATA problem are starting to RMA their 680i boards for the Bad Axe 2.
I find it odd that there are not that many reviews out. I'm planning a C2D build and this is most likely the board I'm going with.
I'm planning a C2D build as a Christmas present to myself. The main component I'm struggling to pick is the motherboard. Originally I was set on the eVGA 680i but with the recent SATA problems I'm having second thoughts. I want a solid, stable C2D motherboard that'll run smoothly with an...
Could anyone explain the Costco return/warrenty policy a little more? From what I understand you can return the LCD for any reason you want. (pixel, backlight bleeding issues). And is it also true that if the monitor breaks within three years you can return it? I couldn't find this info on...
hahaha, I read the requirements then immediately thought "duh Mitsubishi DP930SB." I have one myself and love it, but I didn't know it had been discontinued.
:(
I'd rather go with ATI.
I'm asking though, will I see a major improvement in the games I play? A big enough improvement to justify the purchase? I don't want to buy it if another piece of my hardware will become the bottleneck.
a 9800 pro for my system.
I currently have a 2400+ running at 2ghz with 512 mb 3200 cosair xms. This is on a A7N8X dlx. The current video card is an ATI 9500 pro.
I'm wondering whether the purchase of a 9800 pro with my current system would be a smart decision. Do you think the...
One of my sites is currently being hosted through a local business in town. I worked out an agreement with him saying that after this next month of service I am switching hosting companies. He was very reluctant but once we agreed upon the payment he had no choice. My question is, does he...
