for 150 you can probably snatch a 5770, which would be a nice upgrade from that 8800. If you plan on getting a new monitor and going above 1900, then you should probably invest in a 5850 or better if you can afford it.
Have you used driver sweeper?... j/k :P
I don't think it's a driver issue, it might be a game issue. WoW is an old game, a lot of older games are not designed to take advantage and be efficient with multi-GPU and/or multi-core processors.
My eVGA 8800GTX decided to quit on me yesterday, I've been itching to upgrade to a 5850 lately, think this is a good excuse to do it. Anyone know what eVGA is sending currently to replace this card? (it's still a "limited lifetime warranty" card)
Recently my mouse started acting weird, it just doesn't like any of my mouse pads that I've always used. It jumps around the screen erratically. The only surfaces that it seems to like now (ghetto solution BTW :p) are magazines or the top of the closed laptop.
Well I agree with Spartan and F.L. CoH is still one of the best. Try Red Alert 3 lots of people playing right now. I would also recommend the Dawn of War franchise, but I don't see many people playing nowadays.
Well the other major function of a UPS is to provide "clean" power. They correct ripples from the incoming power and regulate which helps when you have lots of variations in voltage. So I would advice to get one for those reasons alone.
+1
Looks spiffy, but whats more important is what lies under the hood, we'll see. I agree to the moving completely to 64bit, no point in keeping 32bit crap by then.
I remember having a similar situation the first time I tryed to fire up the board, and the problem was that the video card wasn't seated all the way in. I know you've put everything out and back again but make really sure that the video card is set all the way in place.
Dunno about the page file. I do have one with my setup (I have 4 Gigs of RAM only).
Are you running the same settings from your previous rig on your video card?
I was blown away from the difference between my old 939 system and this.
Why risk further damage? There is no point in powering up when clearly it will be in no working order if you try to do it. Good though that you sent them that image to back your explanation.
(Similar experience to what AmberClad posted)...
CoolerMaster CM 690. The ending part of the heat pipes above the fins are about 3/4" from the side panel, so you can't use the top fan of that side panel (if you were planning on installing one).
BTW this has a very nice airflow, but it's...
When I switched to Vista x64, I reinstalled the games and then copyed over (overwrited) with my backup (XP) so I had the latest patches / updates. Also be sure to copy over info from your profile (documents and settings) folder, as some of the newer games tend to save information there as well...
Yes and No. I recently purchased an IP35 Pro and It came with BIOS 14 which has support for the latest Wolfdales. However there is a small glitch with the temperature reading of the CPU that has an adverse effect if you plan on overclocking (which you're not from what I understand). I had no...
It depends on what features you want with the board (RAID, #SATA ports, Dual LAN?, etc..)
This is a good solid all-around board:
GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Dynamic Energy Saver Ultra Durable II
And it'll work with your E7200 out of the box.
All of those boards are solid and have similar features, guess the DFI stands out for it's overclocking features. I just did an upgrade and got the IP35 Pro and I'm very happy with my decision.
I did an upgrade similar to you this weekend (moved from a 939 AMD system) I installed Vista 64 Ultimate, and the only Cons I've runned into so far is that Guitar Hero 3 (for the PC) isn't compatible with Vista 64. I don't know if there's a patch to fix this though haven't checked.
Is there a retail version that contains both 32bit and 64bit disks? Think the one I picked up at Walmart has the 32bit disk only. It says on a sticker at the bottom that theres instructions inside on how to obtain the 32bit CDs or 64bit DVD
BTW I haven't opened the box, just going by...
