Lower the video acceleration a notch to see if it works. But you better RMA the card.

I don't have any problem with my GT yet........but temp. is rather high. 51C idle and 83-93C load. But other programs shows 10C lower temp. than what nvidia shows.

Leadtek recently released 5.40.02.32.00 bios for 68xx series cards.

What ns is the memory? If it is Samsung K4D26323RA - GC2A or K4D263238E GC2A.......then you can take the risk of flash it to regular pro. Search forums before flashing as i'm not responsible if something goes wrong.

AS5 normally takes 200 hr to brake up particles. Also you need to heat it & cool it simultaneously. Once the particles are broken, temp. drops & then u'll be able to overclock more if previously overclocking was prevented for heat.

Your 9500 is a 64MB or 128MB memory? 3DMark05 requires atlest 128MB AGP with DX9 Complete Support.

what is your soundcard? I sometime got this problem with creative sound card.

I got this same issue with my 9700 PRO. But that was solved after removing the HDD from the 9700P rail & installing CATALYST 04.9 beta. Try this.

5900 can never beat even 9700P, 9800P is far away. Get a 9800 PRO.

I'm running ATI X800 XT PE in my 425W HEC PSU. I got 3 HDD, 2 optical drive, & X800 XT. It is running smoothly without any problem.

Don't buy if you have an ATI card. This mobo auto overclocks my all ATI cards (9000 PRO, 9700 PRO, 9800 PRO). Even If I fresh install XP, then directX & driver.........even then ati cards are by default running 15/20MHz higher than default......always.....

also check Jimmor's 59xx basic bios changes in nvnews.net. That'll let you learn how to mod bios of 59xx series.

9800 PRO is fast enough....but you need 1GB memory for smooth game playing. 6800 GT is nice card & also faster than 9800P, but you still need 1GB ram for smooth playing. Even with X800XT PE or 6800U, you can't play farcry smoothly if you don't have 1GB ram, so whatever VPU you go for, be sure to...

You can buy 9800P as cheap but performable solution, or if you got cash, go for X800 PRO/XT or GeForce 6800 GT.

My Highest score is 40,384 AquaMark with ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 128MB (380,680) with CATALYST 03.9.

I heard that some artifacts are shown in Far Cry with recent CATALYST Driver. Also heared that 9800 PRO's are dying coz far cry makes them work hard so temp. raises more............any one of these can happen to you............lets pray for the first..................also try installing CAT 04.4.

Far Cry run nicely even on 9600P but you really need 1GB ram. Even when 9800P providing me 60-80 fps, gameplay is choppy for ram only..........install 512mb more & all the choppiness gone.....

AS5 is the cause of death of my previous 9800P. It is conductive at high temp. Try to use Arctic Ceramique. It is non-conductive while providing performance between AS3 & AS5. Safety is preferrable.

If it is true, then NVIDIA is making a mistake again.

Buy a temp. sensor & attach it to the backside of your core........nothing else will do..........

This card is a 4x1 desing where GF4 Ti is 4x2 pipeline design. Maybe the game required texture unit higher than pixel flexibility...........not sure though..............but it happens sometimes.........prince of persia runs fine on my sig with R8500 but with Ti 4600............frame drop occurs...

If your card equipped with Samsung Memory i.e. K4D263238E - GC2A or K4D26323RA - GC2A, you can try flashing with the 9800 PRO BIOS. This BIOS raises the memory voltage of 9800 NP, helps to get 380MHz Memory like 9800P.
