eVGA 6800GT Bios revisions

I noticed that i have Rev. 5.40.02.15.01 Bios on my card. Appearantly there is a newer Bios out for the card, the 5.40.02.15.02 Bios.

Is there any word on what was fixed in this new Bios? I won't update if there isn't anything in there that makes it worthwhile (e.g. lower core temps, fixed crashing in certain situations etc.). Has anyone found a Rev. History file with the fixes?

Check the mvktech.net. They might have the release note with it.

No release notes on the rev 2 BIOS...eVGA forums had no concrete info either. Anybody else know anything about it?

Ha! I did find some usefull info


hna from eVGA forums:

the Rev 02 bios is PAL where rev 01 is NTSC
5.40.02.15.01 = NTSC
5.40.02.15.02 = PAL

So looks like no real improvements, just the Euro version!

Look on station-drivers.com they carry plenty BIOS updates for nvidia cards, but not as up to date as mvktech.
