Well, the Blockbuster near me wants $15 for 2 rentals. I'm fairly close to a distro center, and I figure my turnaround should be around 2 days so I am getting the trial to see how I like it.
I guess my suggestion on Gamefly would be that if the trial sucks for you stick with brick and mortar...
A few weeks ago the rig in my signature was repeatedly crashing, until finally it did not display anything on boot. After testing my old video card I decided it was the motherboard and ordered a new one. I just installed said motherboard and now I'm getting the same symptoms, the light on...
Just though I would fetch some opinions as my motherboard recently went out and now I need to replace it, the CPU and my RAM.
This is whats on the roster as a placeholder for a year or two.

I'm going to give the Hanns-G HW216DPB a try. I picked it up for about $180 after taxes when it was on-sale with coupons. It will be arriving tomorrow and I'll let you know how it does.
I got it, upgraded my ram, and everything runs and looks beautiful. I may invest in one of those thermaltake heat pads or whatever they are called, the soft ones. Anyone have any luck with those? i think they're called iSoft or something.

No bleeding edge games on it really, CSS Source / SupCom, and not really picking about max settings
I just got a new laptop and I'll be leaving work here soon to work on it. What do you consider mandatory to do to have it running smooth?
First on my list is to check for bloatware and if there is much to just wipe it clean. (I got a F3 seies Asus, I've heard asus isn't too bad about it)...
You know, this is the first time i've seen a normal LANBoy on [H]ard. I have one myself so i'm interested in seeing what you do it withit . Mine is pretty beat up, and i'm moving my backup machine into my sonata II because my main is in the P182SE now (I <3 Antec), so now i'm open toplay with...
Those temps are not too ridiculous, Does your case have sufficient intake/exhaust fans? Also try reapplying thermal compound by first cleaning it off with isopropyl alcohol, then rubbing compound into the microgrooves on the proc, and then applying the normal amount, which I think is just a...

From what i've read, this is a truly beautiful case. Add in a free hard drive, and free shipping and this is a helluva deal.

There are many horror stories related to that PSU, I have had mine for close to a year and I started getting random restarts and terrible reliability, so I swapped to the Corsair 620W, and its doing fine so far.
Well, ClubIT has the 620w for 117 AR, so I might bite on that. The 520w is 25ish less, but I figure the 620 will leave me room to expand. I've wanted a modular PSU for awhile :p
edit - wow, went to newegg to see the reviews on the PSU and i'm amazed, it seems like about 80% of them are...
I am having problems with my computer crashing, its fairly infrequent (1-2 times a week). When it does crash, I get a loud, high pitch static sound, and it seems like my computer tries to stay on for a few more seconds and finally just resets. I have a feeling this may be a power issue. I'm...
About weapon normalization - Basically, slower weapons used to do more damage, depending on how slow they were they got a larger bonus to damage from your attack power, this resulted in -huge- hits/crits with attacks such as aimed shot. Normalization lowered the amount of bonus damage a slow...
1. For solo grinding - Warlock or Hunter hands down. For dungeon crawling, the paladin would be your best choice (healers are generally high in demand). But it would also depend on your server's class layout, i'm speculating and using mine as a reference.
2. I wouldn't recommend any...
Man, if only I saw this a month earlier, I spent about 300 bucks on -one- BFG 7800GTX OC. Too bad I don't have enough room or money or power to run SLI. That's a wicked deal.
I cannot find where the mounting area is for the frontal 120mm fan on the Sonata II. If there is one around there, it would seem awfully hard to get to. Anyone got any advice on this? I'd like to get a little more airflow in the system.
I've been dancing around the subject of getting RAM for the past month, but i'm pretty tight with my money. I figure prices would go down on DDR400 with the prominence of DDR2 on the rise, but I was wrong. I paid about 80 bucks for 1g of 184pin, now its going for 110 bucks on newegg...
