A few weeks ago the rig in my signature was repeatedly crashing, until finally it did not display anything on boot. After testing my old video card I decided it was the motherboard and ordered a new one. I just installed said motherboard and now I'm getting the same symptoms, the light on the motherboard is on like the old one, it boots, but I'm still getting no video. I tried separate monitors, video cards, and everything but I still am not getting results. Any ideas or questions to help me solve this?

Reassemble the PC outside of the case, with the motherboard on the motherboard box. Start the PC by jumping (connecting) the two power pins with a screw driver. If you get video now, something inside the case was shorting the motherboard like a loose screw, wire, cable, misplaced standoff, etc.

Turns out it was the RAM. Yes, I tried everything else before the simplest part to replace. Yes, I feel dumb.
