Friends having trouble with his comp/graphics card

Here is some of the stuff he said.


"I turn it on, there are grey lines going down in some places when it's detecting ide drivers (I think), then it checks for a boot cd and the lines are gone"

"Then it loads XP (Logo with the blue loading bar under it) and there are blue lines going down in some places"

"Then it gives me a quick blue screen before restarting"

Well, what was the last thing he changed before the issues started?

Video cards don't restart your system, at least in my experience. See if your friend can test his hard drive in another system. Also, test the video card and RAM in another PC as well. Ho and please the specs of his system.
