thanks for the inputs, I'll try to find a place that has one.
I was looking at the T (t400) series because the X series didn't have an optical drive (cept the most expenssive kind). That's where I searched and found about the keyboard flex and gap issues, and this video pretty much proved it...
I've been looking for a laptop for college, and I've always wanted to get a ThinkPad. My dad used to always bring his back from work and it was built rock solid and looked sleek but classy. However, I heard that since Lenovo took over IBM, the quality of Thinkpads have gone WAY done. I've seen a...
hmm I uninstalled all the mods and now the pop up comes up in only non hardcore servers...I know the GUI and stuff gets removed in hardcore but I stil remember the score popping up...how do I turn it back on?
I'm only like lvl 27 and I haven't done of ton of the challenges. I'm still getting XP and leveling up, and the challenge completitions still show up, but not the +10 score pop up.
I've just started playing a few days ago and whenever I killed someone or completed a challenge something would pop up saying +5 or +10, etc. Today I'm joining servers and NONE of them say it, modded or not. I'm still getting XP though cause I can check it in the ranks and challenges, but does...
I see that there is an option to toggle crouch/prone or just regular crouch/prone so that when you lift the key you are no longer crouching. But why didn't they make an option like that for sprint? Everytime you sprint you keep going until you can't anymore unless you jump or press mouse1, and...
I just got l4d and ME off of steam, and I notice the same thing in both games. The graphics looks like it's operating out of a TV that has slightly bad signals, like little dots all over. Is it suppose to be that way?
K so my bro decided to install OOO on oblivion. Should I play through the vanilla version first? Because I just started a new game with this mod (since older games are complicated to load), and DAM it felt so much harder. I got owned in the arena pretty fast, while on the regular Oblivion, I got...
horde isn't evil, it's just a different side. I think people are following the WoW pattern. MORE people are playing horde now than alliance because in many cases, the younger players are playing alliance while the older group is playing horde.
keyboard is very well constructed, feels solid and not flimsy at all. I've spilt water on it like 5 times and everything still works well lol.
The new version isn't that big though, it's like the same size as any other keyboard (maybe a lil more b/c of the LCD) unless you use the wrist...
that sounds logical on paper...but FPSes require consistency. That's why people use CPL Mousefix to get rid of acceleration. If you keep changing the DPI, you are not getting the same sensitivity everytime. Even in sniping, snapping your aim requires the same DPI. Maybe I'm just accustomed to CS.
honestly if you are buying one, get the newer version. It's sleeker, more compact, and it is HIGHER quality. A couple of my friends have the older version, and one of them broke, the other the paint is wearing off and the LCD is getting flimsy.
I actually don't have problems with CS:S, which is also the source engine. The FPS in CS:S are too high and useless for me to put here, but it's probably because there are lesser open enviorments like in TF2.
I got a Q9300, 4 gig ram w/ 64 bit vista, and Visiontek 4870. But I notice in a lot of open spots, TF2 runs in the mid 30s, sometimes even slower than Crysis at Very High. I run CoD4 at 100+ average FPS and same with Bioshock, but TF2 is just acting weird. Is it the source engine that causing this?
almost all the new games use 2 cores now...but few use 4 cores. 2 core is still the best route to go right now, because by the time games start using 4 cores, your quad will be outdated anyway. But if you do more than just gaming, quad would be better.
WoW's graphic engie updated with TBC and will again with Lich King...the game actually looks very nice at max settings. I don't think they need a revamp.
I have a p5Q Pro P45 mobo from asus, so I thought P45 is still an intel motherboard.
I tried clockgen, version 1.0.5.3 or something like that, the newest one, but it's screwed up and only shows my CPU clock, with no options or anything. I think it's because i'm running vista 64 bit.
I saw a TigerDirectBlog video about overclocking using the Intel Desktop Control Center, which can overclock through windows very easily. I have a P45 mobo, so apparently it only works on X38/X48s. I was wondering if there are any other programs like this out there since I have never overclocked...
