AFAIK it's doing ok. 350w Antec PSU, about 3 or 4 years old. Like I said though I can play for hours and hours on fallout or civ 3 or just let the computer run. It's only when I play these newer games that I get a crash.

Well, I just finished the memory test but that said everything is fine. Anyone else have any suggestions?

I've got a Belkin 2-port between my Mac and my PC and it's working pretty well for me. It gets a little confused sometimes if something crashes and it looses the signal but if you switch it and wait on the other channel until the other device is up it's usually ok. Not very expensive either...

Admitedly, I have an old computer, but I don't think the specs are THAT bad. But the problems I've been having recently only seem to apply to newer games. More specifically, when I play either BF2 or Civ 4 I will get random lock up where the last maybe half second of sound goes on infinite loop...

So here's my problem: Randomly BF2 will freeze on me and either the whole system will go or I'll get an error window that says somethign along the lines of "memory value does not seem sane" and show a block of memory that they say have 0 mb in it. I've got all the latest drivers and patches...

yeah but look at the snap hooks on that chassis, it may be that once the thing is together, it's designed to STAY together. They may be so cheap to make that any hardware failure is solved by just cloning your drive and getting an completly new one.

I hate to break it to you, but it's not a customized error message. You get one exactly like that if you try and copy a WMA file onto an iPod. iTunes recoginizes the file as something the iPod can't play and hits you with that error. It's not a hint at apple thinking of making a video iPod...

so I copied my songs over from my iPod to a mac at work but iTunes can't see the folder because it's still invisible (I used cocktail so that I could see them, but I guess iTunes can't) so I need to make the folder visible. How do I do that? Can I do that?

well it's my only box, I just dont' have the money to get a new proc. I barely had the money for the motherboard and that was only $60. Overclocking this one, though it runs fine, is basically the only way I can afford a faster processor.

I had a similar problem with my 3G iPod. Try downloading the latest iPod software update from Apple, and the latest version of iTunes. Update the iPod with the new software first, then try and connect to iTunes. That's what worked for me, mabye it'll work for you too
