Unlocking an Athlon XP 1800+ (old I know :( )

so I was forced to order a new motherboard due to mine failing. this brings me to a very good time to try and unlock my AXP 1800+. I've looked at a few guides online and it looks like I can do it, but my question is, I only have to connect the L1 bridges correct?
Are there any other things I need to connect or cut?
 
well it's my only box, I just dont' have the money to get a new proc. I barely had the money for the motherboard and that was only $60. Overclocking this one, though it runs fine, is basically the only way I can afford a faster processor.
 
a good nforce-2 mobo will unlock them for you as soon as you drop in socket
 
Really? Now how does that work? I thought I had to connect the severed bridges on the chip

And can you recomend a good nforce motheboard?
 
the motherboard sort of does the pin mod for you... i like my lanparty but ppl allways rave about the nf7 and the nf7-s
