For some reason there is a issue with intel matrix raid 0 setups. I had 2 velo 150gb raptors just fail on me. The drive is still good. Just one of the drives gave an error in the raid. I have used the older raptors in raid 0 for a few years and not one problem.
Yeah it looks like it well fit but the top of the video card might be real close. I found something here. http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_support_installation_u120_k8.htm
The HR-03 is on my Ati 1950XT. With the stock cooler i would idle at around 55c and load at close to 80c. The stock cooler is crazy loud. HR-03 i get 40c idle and around 60c load. Super quiet i cant even hear it.
Not sure if the HR-03 would fit on a 2900pro or xt. But you can get a HR-03...
I have a Thermalright HR-03 on my video card now. Real good results. Way better then stock cooling.
Zipped tied a 120mm fan onto it. 7 volts to the fan. So now more jet engine sound.
The stock heatsink is not that great. Replace the heatsink with a zalman VF700 all copper version for way lower temps, I should have my zalman on my x800xt pe by the end of this week :D
Retail version (store bought) version of HL2 does NOT include DoD:S
If you bought a copy of HL2 in a store, you do not automatically get DoD:S once it is released. This goes for all versions, including the collectors edition.
DoD:S is only available for free on release to those who bought...
I dont think that really means much. How high the core goes in Ati tool.
Just could be a 9800pro that doesnt overclock that great/
I have a 9800non pro that goes up to 420 on the core with a zalman passive vga cooler.
I have been using the onboard Sata for over a year in a raid and have no problems.
Dont think there is any need to get a add on card.
Just get the newest sata driver for the board 1.0.0.51 and put it on a floppy.
:)
