Look for JJ_Hashmonitor.ps1. You can examine the power shell script if you like and change it. I would say if it's stable between 1800-1900h/s per vega keep it. Any down time would also cause you on the long run.
ETN is based on XMR but the issue is how fast they can apply the changes and how competent their Dev team? With their recent blunders that required an outsider to fix their network issue.
You can check with GPU-z. If it's samsung then you got a good card. I got 2 Nitro 56 with Hynix and I couldn't get passed 900 + memory without crashing and just settled with 880mhz but both cards do 1820 h/s and using softmod table. I also have an MSI 56 with samsung memory and it can do 950...
I don't think it was windows 10 and afaik the thread was closed and most of the people in the thread requested to RMA their cards. I been using my R290 (xfx reference cards ) from windows 8 (that's since beta ) till I upgraded to windows 10 and so far haven't had any issues.
You might have...
Well he might already known the issue and sold the card just to get his hands off it? Like Kardonxt said it might be good on windows driver but if you try to install the GPU driver it just turned dead. Afaik those card only carries limited warranty and it might not be transferable ?So if the...
You need to toggle it on the other direction just to check whether you can initialize and use the other bios. Just be sure to turn off everything when you toggle the bios switch. If this method didn't work have you tried it to install to another PC ? Did he mention on craigslist that he used the...
There's a toggle switch above the card that switches bios. You might want to toggle to the other direction and hopefully the one you bought from craigslist only used 1 bios as he might have used it for mining already. No you need GPU drivers to mine.
Where did you read that it won't work on windows 10? I'm using 2x R9 290 both on windows 10 (tried all version from 15xx to 1709) and they're gaming happily and yes they can be use in mining.
Inno3D is very popular in asia. They're based in China which in term can source out parts easily.

What xmr stak version are you using ? Try lowering your intensity ? Are you also using the soft mod table ? Are you using the blockchain driver ?If you are mining Crytonight I would try to use DDU and reinstall the blockchain driver ( be sure it's just the driver nothing else) only downside...
Sucks big time lol. Tried to force the blockchain driver (and experiment on it) and it just crashed. Without any real memory or HBM2 on 2200/2400G Vegas just can't handle cryptonight. Hmm that's seems interesting hopefully AMD or intel next mainstream integrated GPUs will have the same design
Wonder how's the new NUC fare on CN :) since it's a full blown vega with it's own HBM2 memory ?
The nintendo switch kept me preoccupied with occasional gaming on R5 2400G decent enough for any Blizzard games (HoTs/SC2/Overwatch/D3) on 1080p.
For cryptonight the best driver is still the blockchain driver from august. it seems they enabled something from the august driver (rapid pack math?) and disabled it from the 18.x onwards that might cause games to crash? You might want to dual boot? set aside 80GB then install windows 10 (you...
It's almost 5 years as well. No bios was still from 2012. Is the PSU brand new ? if you could try another psu ? or if you have another PC or friends who could try the vega on their system?
Is this a brand new vega or bought from someone else? if you bought it from someone who used it for mining it might be dead? there's also a bios switch you can try and toggle that to the other direction and see if that helps.if your motherboard also has an extra pcie slot you could also try...
Experienced the same thing and did use DDU to clear everything and reinstall the driver. Haven't played with a custom profile yet since I'm also building another 2200G
At first I've used the SATA to 6pin but the system wasn't stable and the vegas 56 keep dropping hashes. Current changed it to 2 molex to PCIe and everything stable but will changed it once the pcie splitter arrived.
Btw thanks atp1916 for the link was looking around for quality splitter :)
How was it? Bought mine and paring it with G3930 but going to wait for awhile due to my location. Planning to move my 4 rx vega and 4x r290 to that board. Does the 3 way power cable copy the primary power states? like the add2psu ?
1. Mining draws a lot of power compared to regular use / gaming.
2. You can still use your computer to browse and probably watch movies (depending on your mining intensity setup)
3. Yep if you only have 1 GPU you need to shutdown the mining program else if you have a spare gpu you can use that...
IF Doge shoots up to 400~600 I'm going to mine it until the next halving(sometime april 24~25) and if it indeed hits .01 or .10 cents even better pays out my loans lol. I think I saw Doge got to 1.9k difficulty then down to 1.7k.
Btw modified bios for 290x/290s are up https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=12830.0. Going to try this when I got back home need to get more KH/s per kw.
About time.
How so? Have you checked and tried one? Afaik the easiest one to crack are the magnetic stripe. With chip and pin you really need to crack those embedded security as well. And afaik no you can't just scan them on thin air, "The Chips" are more likely like those used in your...
