Huh?? Maybe I am misunderstanding here but I never had to plug my 360 controller into the console to get it to work. Also is there actually people that do not turn on their 360 with the controller (accomplished by holding the big 360 button)? I don't think I have touched my 360 power button...

I run mine at 720p. 720p means you are getting 60 frames a second and 1080i means you are only getting 30 so most of the time 720p feels smoother.

Listen to this man. Do not get a 4:3 tv. You will regret it. Nothing beats gaming on a good widescreen.

Yes you do need the harddrive for all backwards compatibilty. And yes they did add AA not sure about AF.

Up here in Canada I saw my first 360's core and premium in a walmart the other day.

I doubt cube games will be downloadable. For something like RE4 it would be over 2 gigs most likely since it comes on two disks and the disks hold 1.8Gb. I would guess they will release only up to the N64.

If you play games like Battlefield 2 or Fear I would say it is worth it. Load times go down, can alt-tab out of the games quicker and so on.

One thing you did wrong is RMA a card when you killed it overclocking.

I would say so. I have not noticed a benchmarkable difference, but things do seem to just run smoother. Take that as you will.

The newer consoles will have to run at 60fps for the progressive resolutions. 480p, 720p and 1080p.

I am using it with my winchester. Overall excellent OS.

Just as a note, if you want to improve load times you need more than a gig of ram. I put in a 2nd gig and load times were halved.

Have no fears. That should easily be enough to power those speakers to quite loud volumes.
