Cyberpunk 2077

The transformer model with DLSS Quality and FG gave me about 80-90 fps on a 4090. Not bad. I also got into a firefight and didn't have any lag like I saw in videos of 5080/5090 and MFG 3X/4X. I guess that's a win. Game was very playable. Maybe I can reduce to balanced and gain a few more fps but at 80-90 fps this game is definitely playable. It also seems to be in a state that a second playthrough might actually make sense now. Fantastic.

I hadn't really played this much since the 2.0 patch, wanted to try it out with my new GPU and frame gen and all the path tracing bells and whistles. Framerate is great, but I get a lot of stuttering pretty much all the time. Not sure what is going on. Usually most noticeable when turning around but it's fairly omnipresent.

EDIT: Never mind, reinstalled the game, tweaked some stuff and rebooted a few times and now it seems fine. Not sure what was going on there.

Did you DDU and clean install the drivers for your 5080?

Is this mission part of the main story? How do I get back to the main story missions.. It keeps wanting me to do this one...

Oh it is? How do I access the door? It says I'm 6 of 12.. How do I max it out to open the door? Thank you for the help
You have insufficient "body" attribute to force the door. Either you need to put points into that or you need to open it using an alternative means. You can hack the doors or I believe you can actually find a shard that grants you access to that.

Don't think you can hack it or I just don't know how.. What attribute do I need to max? Where is shard that helps open the door?
Thanks alot man been stuck here for a week lol

The body attribute I think is what its called. It's basically a strength check to force the door. Or, you can use a technical skill to open it. I don't remember if you can straight up hack the door or not but when presented with almost any door you can open in Cyberpunk, you have three options. 1.) Force the door. 2.) Use technical skill to open the door. 3.) It just opens because its unsecured.

Sometimes you can find a secret roundabout entrance, as a 4th option. But yeah, generally it's Body or Tech.

I found it! Thank you I was stuck and really annoyed lol just running around trying to figure out how to get back in the story... I'm guessing I'm close to the end right?

Not even close. Once you complete the full chain of what you are doing, there is a quest called "Meet Hanako at Embers". Doing that is the equivalent of launching the suicide mission in Mass Effect 2. It's kind of a point of no return, though you can still do other quests. But unlike Mass Effect 2, you can't do quests after you complete the game. It will return you to the point just before the point of no return.

There is a lot more game besides that. There are story arcs and even romance options etc. you haven't even met by this point. Most of Johnny Silverhand's story arc can't be done until after you complete getting Takemura onto the float. If you do every quest and every gig, the game takes at least 120 hours to complete fully.

Yeah unfortunately I don't have time for all that... I'm guessing there are several endings as well.. Can you link me to a you tube that shows all the best side Quests I might have missed? I'm already passed the point of no return. I just had my first child and run my own business so there is no way I'll ever be able to finish 120 hrs lol

It doesn't take 120 hours. The base game, without the expansion, takes 50-65 hours for around 98% complete game (all side quests, gigs that are visible on the map, police scanner and endings). There are some minor things that you can search for that takes up a lot of time, but not worth it for most. The expansion adds another 20-30 hours if you do most of the stuff. Basically doing most sidequests, some gigs and some police scanner is between 40 and 60 hours for both the base game and expansion, depending on if you rush it or take your time. You can spend another 30+ hours if you want to do almost everything in the game.

Well I already sank about 22 hrs in and I'm not to the end yet lol is the expansion as good as base game?

Incorrect. Doing everything, and I mean everything minus some of the secrets takes 100+ hours. Granted, the main story and the things you needed for certain endings doesn't take that long but it's not 65 hour game. I don't know where you are getting that.

I've played through the game myself 5 or 6 times and have over 700 hours in it. I think my quickest run save file says 96 hours on it and that's with me running a new game plus script I created for the game to make things easier.

The expansion is probably 20-30 hours. And what an expansion it is.

Got a save with 60 hours on it with pretty much a clean map and around 10 hours worth of side quests and main quests remaining in base game + phantom liberty. Spent about 65 horus on my first play through of the base game to clean up the map, max level and do all endings.Guess some people just play slow.

Too bad they messed up skill checks in 2.0 by making them scale by level, so basically the highler level you are the harder each strength check is, which means if you put your points into other attributes you lock yourself out of certain places that you could easily access as level 1. Thankfully there is a mod that fixes this.

Yeah I did notice that a lot of checks were requiring 15-20 Body and I think I'm at like, 13? Unless you dumped all points into Body before anything else, you wouldn't be able to use it for those checks most of the time.

Anyone know of a setting/mod that can get rid of this fog thats everywhere? It drives me nuts.

I take my time with Cyberpunk 2077. Each playthrough usually lasts around 150 hours. It's a great game with a city begging to have every nook and cranny explored.

Agreed friendo!!

Curious, do you play with framegen/fake-frames or just regular ole DLSS Quality at 1440p?

Basically I've finally reached a point where DLSS Enabler(FSR 3.1 framegen) + latest ver of DLSS via DLSS swapper is yielding around 110 fps (fake-frames) - which is crazy.

But, using the new DLSS without framegen, I'm able to maintain slightlyyy above 60 in all my stress-test areas (the new Balanced mode is easily 10x better with the new DLSS model)

Input lag is not noticeable with Reflex obviously, but man.... I have tried so many tutorials to get the ghosting fix on cars to work with the framegen mods, to no avail.

** AceG actually has 4000 series framegen so he probably isn't familiar with the process/hassle. But, if anyone knows how to get FSR 3.1 framegen and the ghosting fixes working - PLEASE, PM me or reply back

Thanks as always [H], I'm just at that point where I could spend an entire weekend figuring this out or someone could just be like "Install these versions, of these files, in this order, and your good" etc etc

Man that ghosting is so distracting, its awful. When I run my AMD card I just use XESS. FSR sucks a big floppy one in this game.

That said, the newest patches with DLSS updates I can run this thing like butter at 1440P ultra with PT on, 100-120fps with FG. It looks soooooo good. I'm using Ultra+ mod to get the fast FG from 1.6 now and I can reach 80-90 native fps.

Yeahhh hopefully someone here knows the procedure for the getting the framegen ghosting-fix mod to work....

Or, I'm in for a long frustrating weekend lol

Last time I tried a run I started randomly wandering rooftops and ncars and looking for places you are not supposed to go to. I accidentally found a secret tunnel leading outside of night city that's never used in any mission afaik. Also found another leading to dogtown from a garage. Now I need to find out if that is part of a mission or what, but I don't just want to google it.

The tunnel is part of the Phantom Liberty expansion. You do in fact use it in one of the later missions.
