no one can predict how a game will run before it's released, so no one can answer your question. if you are really that concerned you will just have to wait and see the benchmarks on release, and then know which is the best purchase. if you got a 24 now, you can still run it at a lower res, so u...
how does the 3007 work with a HDMI connector? just seeing that this needs two DVIs. i was just hoping that i could use a PS3 or similar over HDMI and use aspect ration to fill the screen
is this possible??
is the HC much better than the non-HC. i really want to get one, but never really like the non-hc. the colours seemed dull. and now i am concerned about the viewing angle on the non-hc
i don't think it;s related to quality, but availablility. widescreens are moer popular that 4:3 so they prolly produce more, and can get them cheaper. more to do with economy than anything else
wow
cheers for the replies :D
the monitors sounds awesome. after looking around i found these images of the old vs new 2407 http://forums.vr-zone.com/showpost.php?p=3876072&postcount=1
would like to hear from more owners too
^^
a laptop doesn't have to go into suspend mode.
go to start >control panel > power options > the advanced tab
in the power button options is says "then i close the lid of my portable computer" change that to "nothing". then you can close your notebook and leave it running.
it's what i do ;)
go, start > control panel > display > setting > advanced > montior > then untick "hide modes that this monitor cannot display". if it shaded out then i have no clue. maybe try something like rivatuner
does anyone think these lack brightness. i viewed on the other day, and though the whites were really white, and seemed to hampered by the lack of brightness from the panel
i find it odd that a 6+2 TN panel would be use for high gamut. afaik they already struggle with colour reproduction, and then they are pushed to 92% gamut. can the produce that many colours, or am i missing something in how the technology works
yeah the shimmer is most noticble when the screen is white, and you look upclose, or get upclose and look at an angle.
i am looking at getting the 20inch, but when i went to the dell kiosk they lacked the brightness of the 24inch, and it put me off.
btw i am in aust too.
i've a 17" sony sdmx73 for 4years. i really like it, though with big monitors coming down in price, i am upgrading. i am disappointed that sony does not offer lcds anymore
hey,
i read on here that people love the IPs, but the MVA is also acknowledged at being really good.
i thought MVA ad PVA were really similar, and bested by the IPS. why does the PVA not get the same level of recognition at the MVA
finally i have found the two monitor options i want.
they cost about the same. and i get more (matching and even) screen real estate from the 2x20s. seeing i can't view the apple and dell the decision is hard, as i love image quality.
if i get the apple i will most likely keep my current...
i don't know the american pricing for LCDs
you are going to have to go with either a 22inch or 24 inch if u want true 8bit colour. afaik, tthere are no 22ich panels that offer true 8bit colour.
why do u say that. i would rate it if it was a LED and/or and ISP panel. but without either of these, and for non-editing use i don't see the that is' really much of a step up over the current model
we check revised pricing in australia on fridays, as the special prices normally finish thursday night. so i will be keen to see what happens. imho though i would be happier with two 20inchers though.
it's ok

CHEERS!
i've seen the 24inch dell (PVA), and wasn't excited about it. but i liked the 20inch dell alot, and the apple screens (all IPS). i think my old sony SDMX72 is an IPS, because of the colours and the fact that white isn't overly bright.
so that means i will stick to an IPS.
are there...
this is off topic, but i would like to get an answer
basically is
TN/PVA < MVA/IPS
see i thought that MVA and PVA there both similar and relatively poor quality, but i am starting to read opinons that the MVA is pretty decent. is MVA good?
cheers
EDIT: the read for my thinking, comes from...
