Vortex Race 3
I like to see moroe VR headsets being apart of people setup. Am not seeing too many right now.
I hope that will change in the coming years.
VR is 37 billion dollars in revenue by 2020
crazy what mb happened in 3 years
If I could deal with no keypad that keyboard would be on my desk.
Home office update: I wanted to buy an HDR ultrawide, but seeing they're going to cost north of $1000 and I refuse to pay that much for a screen, I'm keeping my 40" 4K TV for now. I had this feeling that hanging the TV on the wall would be a good idea: the second I turned it on, my hunch was instantly confirmed. I'm very satisfied with the change.
I work from home once a week so the multi source monitor comes in handy.
As you wish
Also pay attention to the VR sensors and cable management solution in the ceiling:
And if VR feels too new and fancy, there are other options:
Whoa, two Stackers?
Yes. One is for the desktop, the other is for my home server. It was the biggest box I was able to find at the time and I was so happy with it that I got a second one as well. Enough room for expansion for anything: a big stack of HDDs for the server or water cooling for the desktop (though I've been happy enough with air cooling to not have bothered with the hassle - I used to have Zalman's Reserator 1). The only disadvantage of its size is when you have to carry it to a LAN party.
I see a pair of big beautiful KEF towers!
What's your audio source?
My sound setup is KEF R500, KEF R200c, KEF R100*, Elac SUB 2070, Denon AVR-X3300W. Additionally I have Sennheiser HD 650 headphones and sE Electronics USB2200a microphone.
* Two for surround and two for zone 2 in other rooms (mono).
Nice! I'm a KEF guy, too, though my setup is quite a bit more modest. For my computer, I'm running a pair of LS50 bookshelf speakers, SVS SB-2000 sub, Schiit Gungnir Multibit DAC, and Crown XLS 2502 amp. I'm getting a new desk and will post a pic here as soon as everything is ready.
Updated pic, moved my stuff to the corner. Feels much better
Your setup looks pretty clean. Nice.
The monitor is 30"....I went from 20"/24"/20" (non wide)-(wide)-(non-wide) to this. Might be time for a 43"!
You will not regret it.
Oh man this is amazing. It makes me remember my 120zh Eizo crt and burning all those damn cd's... only to rebuy all those game son steam as an adult hehe
Mounted my 40" MU7000 on an ErgoTech arm. Looks and works great.
That's pretty sweet. Surprising that arm can handle a 40" TV.
I have the KU6300 40", looks very similar to mine.
Finally got a new monitor Asus PG348q.
LCDs from left to right...
Samsung 275t 27"
Microsoft Surface Pro (1st gen)
Asus PG348q 34" UltraWide
Info on the volume knob?
Emotiva Control Freak. Sadly, it was discontinued several years ago. Impossible to find anywhere. The Mackie Big Knob is a really good substitute.
I have the DROK usb volume knob and like it. It's the chrome looking one to the right of the mouse. Simple volume knob and press to toggle mute/unmute.
It's a bit more open on the left under the 4k monitor since this pic because I added a heavy duty ergotron arm for the 43" screen so it wouldn't have to sit on that side table but otherwise pretty similar.
Made more of the desk under the keyboard panel black as well, and I added a two pedal usb pedal device on the ground which I use for my push-to-talk-key in games.

My setup after I first installed it. It's quite a bit neater now.
How do you like the 6290? I see them regularly for $500 (CDN), and thought about getting that instead of the AOC or Philips 40" 4K that are $1000...
Chas what model did you get?
The only thing I'm not terribly happy with is the armature I'm using. Getting the far left monitor to sit even with the others is a bitch and a half.
They are nice monitors but this setup needs some serious cable management to make it awesome.
My cable setup is neater than this. This was just the first evening they were set up. Mostly because I had to move the tables around.
Cleaned up and wrapped down:
I still have that TV, it recently got fried for all it's inputs except the DVI. Stopped using it as a monitor like 8 years ago and it went to TV duty. Now its sitting on the floor waiting for disposal. lol
yeah mine ended up developing splotches on the screen. It was good while it lasted.
Finally got my monitor arms and speaker stands worked out.
NV Surround TN panel rotates out of the way so I can watch TV on a 27" MVA panel:
PC 7.1 / Firestick / Chromecast / Blu-ray are all available through the AVR
Forza Horizon 3 runs great at 3x 1440p on a single 1080Ti:
My main source of information about pretty much everything:
In progress - stands and arms visible:
A peek behind: Kef Q100s sitting on Sound Anchor stands.
Monitor arms are Chief Mfg.
Another view of the arms.
Center is temporary until I get another Q100...
Cable management could be better, but it's out of the way and mostly invisible when you're in the driver seat.

Grayson, your setup has always been super clean. What desk is that? Do you have any other pictures?
Thanks. I bought the desk on Amazon and I only recently put this all together after rebuilding my computer so the only other picture I have right now is a closeup of my tower. (not embedded) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/afhub6ekh0fz9vq/4.30.2018.PNG?dl=0
Oh, I do have a phone pic of some of my cable management. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/31nnsnna6rvf44p/cabletown.png?dl=0
link to the actual desk on amazon.
