I think I'm just getting too old for the fast pace style of these games. I can't frigging keep up, die quickly, and appear to be in panic mode the whole time.
For me I think the peak came back with Battlefield Bad Company 2. Ahh, those were the days..
Why give the cows the ability to choose their path to the grinder?Lack of server browser will kill this game. Trying to get into a Domination match takes 2-5 minutes now, because the "Domination" button is gone from the main menu this weekend. The Custom search button works but again, no one uses that without a browser. People will use whatever the default buttons are which seemingly will change every few days.
That said this game does look really good. I'm wondering how EA will use this new found goodwill to squeeze more predatory bullshit into the game.
Well, I for sure want to filter out 3/4 of the maps so far, and there is no way to do so right now.Lack of server browser will kill this game. Well what does? Sniping? Handguns? Swords? Bow & arrow? I am just asking because...but then again machine guns never did anything for me in games.
I feel the same way about much of the modern stuff like all of the F2P and live service bullcrap, particularly those that push microtransactions etc. But there are more games available now than ever before, and unless you are just confining yourself to multiplayer shooters or something, I don't see how there isn't something that you'd enjoy. Whether it's horror, puzzle, action adventure, action RPG, fantasy, milsims, immersive sims, etc. And even if you can't seem to get into deep, immersive story-driven games like RDR2 or CP 2077 there are a plethora of older games from the era before Fortnite etc. that are cheap and (most importantly) fun as long as you don't need the most realistic rock and wall textures to enjoy a game. Are you limiting yourself to certain type of game that's no longer being made in the pursuit of modern trends? Have you played all of the games that looked worthwhile to you already?Gaming overall is just pretty much dead for me even after taking off for 8 years or so. I am no longer the target audience and everything people seem to love about the new games doesn't click with me.
Neither do I.I don’t have any issues with EA app.
I will probably get it, though I am prepared to be disappointed. Might go for the Best Buy deal mentioned above but I contacted Best Buy and it is indeed the EA app. I didn't mind using Origin back in the BF3/4 days though with EA being back on Steam I feel like the upkeep for it will be less than ideal. I'd rather have them just kill it off and allow us to migrate our games/saves to Steam. The EA App for me is laggy.

I get 10% off due to EA play through gamepass.EA app has always been fine for me but I made my BF6 pre-order via STEAM because I earn 6% cash back on the STEAM gift cards I purchase at my local grocery store using my AE Blue Cash Preferred credit card![]()
you have ultimate gamepass? i dont see it on the core version...I get 10% off due to EA play through gamepass.
But I did not pre order yet.
Their latest update on X/Twitter was posted 14 hours ago and says they're still working on a fix. Something tells me this won't get fix before Beta 2 ends or if it does, it'll be a few hours before. Not a good look considering it was working fine last week.I've been playing for awhile now and while its good there are some issues, such as the map size which feels more like COD than BF, they are so small they seem to have you going in circles. My favorite map is liberation peak, which is still just a medium sized map, so I'm hoping there will be large ones as well. There is also graphical glitches in the game, last night I was in a match and the other players were running around with no heads or tags, and understandably it's a beta so I get it. Also the game currently hasn't any DLSS or FG, which apparently was supposed to be fixed last night, but I logged on today and still no DLSS or FG. So Ill keep playing the beta but I wont get the actual game it until I see the final product and reviews, I have too many bad memories about previous BF's.
Yes I have ultimate.you have ultimate gamepass? i dont see it on the core version...
never preorder.
The same was happening to me, I started doing better though when I used the rubble, buildings whatever as cover, my usual running and gunning does not work very well especially in the smaller maps.Had a lot of fun on conquest last night. I am awful of course but just need to get some practice in.
I've been playing a lot of call of duty lately so my battlefield skilz need exercised haha. The same was happening to me, I started doing better though when I used the rubble, buildings whatever as cover, my usual running and gunning does not work very well especially in the smaller maps.

you can filter whatever map/game mode you want to play nowWell, I for sure want to filter out 3/4 of the maps so far, and there is no way to do so right now.
They did say that, the playlist thing is only for the beta, and they will have another system on release.

why is that surprising? Depending on resolution this game has no issues pegging a 4080. I can get my 4090 pegged if I don’t use DLSS at 3440x1440Not sure why my 4080 is pegged to almost 100% when last weekend it was around 60, nothing really different. Not even Stalker 2 does that.
I'm just wondering when I played last week that was not the case. it was typically at around 60%, as I said in the previous post. I'm curious if not having DLSS made a difference last night in my gpu usage.why is that surprising? Depending on resolution this game has no issues pegging a 4080. I got DLSS working after updating my drivers. But yes that would make a difference. point of DLSS is to reduce load by rendering at a lower than native resolution then upscaling.I'm just wondering when I played last week that was not the case. it was typically at around 60%, as I said in the previous post. Resolution is 1440p
I'm using the 580.88 and DLSS is available now, I was using the same set last night and DLSS was not there, I just checked now and it's back along with FG. As for as GPU usage I'll see how it is with DLSS back, but yes it makes sense.I got DLSS working after updating my drivers. Perhaps they pushed an update around the same time I updated my drivers. Either way, glad it's back. I'm using DLAA on my 4090 which nets me around 150-160 FPS. I have a cap of 170 which I can easily hit with DLSS but i'll give up the 10 or so fps for the slightly higher clarity.I'm using the 580.88 and DLSS is available now, I was using the same set last night and DLSS was not there, I just checked now and it's back along with FG. This is more a testament to how bad current shooters are. COD in particular.and no one has seen the finished product yet, here's hoping EA/Dice doesn't fuck it up![]()
