Battlefield 6

There is a smoothness issue with mouse movements, similar to what Helldivers does if you turn off mouse smoothing. Not many seem to notice though. Keyboard or controller movement is buttery smooth.

There's no way to get rid of it entirely but high framerates help a ton.

I don't know if it happens on all setups for sure, but it would appear to.

Game runs much better on low graphics, think the engine doesn't properly handle ultra graphics even on top .01% hardware/settings.
I have everything set at ultra or high using DLSS and FG, I don't have any problems, the game runs great. My issue is with other things, if I had to play on low settings I'd throw my PC in the trash. 😂

The game so far isn't being well received by some. I have to admit the maps really do feel like COD rather than the large maps of past BF, it's like you're going around in circles, if EA only has a couple large maps that'll be disappointing.

People can wait till after launch for reviews but its sad that many don't remember the BF3's open beta map was Metro and it had a fuck ton of issues but still became a favorite in the franchise.

We'll see I have a open mind, but paying for a game like 2042 and waiting for a year is a bit ridiculous. No I don't remember to BF3's open beta, it was 14 years ago, but I do remember more recent Battlefields and getting burned, so far I'm on the fence with this one.

First time playing tonight since last weekend, ugh another small city map, not a fan. I want HUGE outdoor maps with a dozen tanks rolling across hills with helicopters in the air overhead.

Has there ever been a game that wasn’t well received by some?

Last day, gotta hit that 20!

I have never had to think about BF game as I usually get my 40-80 hours worth out of it. It is definitely less than COD games but not too shabby. And most times I end up getting some kind of discount so about 45 bucks on average for a game that will give 40-80 hours of fun is a no brainer.

Sadly I think only 2 or 3 of the maps will be like that. All I know is the first few updates better include more larger maps, they have enough CQC for now.

Also, DMRs are useless right now with these maps.

I'm kind of pissed they took out Closed Weapon Conquest and merged it into CWC All Out Warfare. I'd prefer all modes be CWC. I wouldn't be surprised if they omit it for final release.

Same. Had some initial issues that ended up being induced by displayfusion(even though this is only game having an issue), once disabled, On ultra, zero issues in MP. And no weird mouse smoothing, not sure where that comes from. I have more time in this beta than the last COD i actually paid for.

They aren't even good maps compared to COD maps. and then compare them to something like strike at karkand and you realize this game is worse than cod no where close to previous battlefield. 2142 maps are more battlefield than this crap.

Had some good runs even though lost matches. Getting the hang of the game. Gunplay is actually very good. I am assuming aim assist is enabled on PC coz I saw it in settings lol.

Careful, if you say too many mean things about BF6 the fanboys in this thread will start crying and brigading you.

There was also Caspian Border in BF3 beta, one of the biggest and most open maps ever.

So yeah, the fact they don't seem confident to show any large map so close to release is very worrying.

Pretty sure it isn't, at least I don't notice any aim assist so if I over flick then I over flick, slightly miss the tracking then is not glued to the running player etc. Not felt any times where I haven't been doing my aiming manually, so I think it is just poor menus.

Based on the map list that has been announced, there should be 2 large to xl maps, probably 2 that are medium to large and 1 that is small. Basically we are playing 3 of the 5 smallest maps, possibly 3 of the 4 smallest maps. Liberation peak is most likely the 3rd or 4th largest map in the game overall, so wont be a lot of large maps. Operation firestorm wont be the largest map, that will be Mirak Valley so there will be at least 2 maps that dwarf Liberation Peak. I do have a feeling that Saints Quarter will be a smaller version of Iberian Offensive in many ways so probably not that different from what we are already seeing in domination.

Played a few games of rush, but not a huge fan of it. I remember rush being more like breakthrough in BF6, just with MCOMs in BC2. The maps for rush in BF6 are so small and mostly 2-3 lanes that offer little in the way of flanking potential. Feels like you are mostly sitting at a choke point waiting for you or other members of the team to get a few multi kills to open a lane and then doing a hail mary push to the objective, when the teams are balanced. Very repetitive and not that enjoyable for me.

Not a huge fan fan of Empire State in any mode. It plays OKish, but not that enjoyable. Visibility is so poor in that map and it is also feels too small for conquest. There is so little ground between flats that it becomes constant combat. It Feels almost like you are playing TDM at times when you play conquest.

I like Siege of Kairo in breakthrough, but just OK in conquest. Iberian offensive is pretty good in conquest as it is a more open city map and offers a lot more options than Siege of Kairo. Liberation Peak is probably the best of the maps in both conquest and breakthrough, unless you get team snipers or the team that decides to stop behind the rocks at the start and slowly bleed tickets.

Generally not a fan of the small modes in BF6 at all. Breakthrough and conquest is where the fun is at for me.

PSA! Stop running with your main gun out at the start of maps, it is so slow. Use your knife!

I think I'm just getting too old for the fast pace style of these games.
You don't need to play fast pace, you can also play a slower tactical pace and still contribute top of the scoreboard. Watch this video for example:

I'm sure dice will come out with information about large maps by the time the game comes out. With the beta they attracted COD players and with the big maps they will attract old BF players.
The devs already said that they intentionally wanted as much data as possible for the beta hence the smaller maps in the beta. No doubt they want some of the CoD playerbase to come over though.

Battlefield 6 dev says the beta's small maps are "to make sure we hit the full-octane version of Battlefield on the head" and, don't worry, "large maps exist" too

"Battlefield 6 has taken some heat for the cramped, close-quarters maps featured in the beta, but Battlefield Studios wants everyone to know bigger maps are coming."
"Battlefield Studios wanted to make sure we could all see it "can handle that too"" (full article)

I turned off Secure Boot I wasn't sure if that was giving me problem this last week with some other games I've been playing.

Game runs flawlessly aside from an occasional graphical artifact that clears up after a few seconds or on respawn on my sig rig @ 3440x1440 with DLAA as well as my 5 year old rig with a 5900x and 3080 with DLSSq @ 2560x1440. Sounds like you have some issues with your build.

Is there no way to choose the map you want to play? One odd thing in newer BF games, is if you want to play Conquest, you click Conquest, but then it auto puts you in any random game going on, which is stupid.

I want to see the server that shows the current map playing, the player count, the ping, etc...

Yes you can click the custom search and select map and game type.

Hit level 20 and finally started to get the hang of the game. Sleepy time now though.

Not sure, it’s working fine on my PC, was it running before secure boot.

Also read this as a possibility https://chatgpt.com/s/t_68a121feef908191adcc88289962a55b
It crashes my game, I'm adjusting the undervolt knob (I already know that it's 100% stable at 975mV and around 2830MHz, I don't even touch the memory. That MSI afterburner is the only tool that offers undervolt and it still never works when it should. I don't know why no one else makes an alternative?

Humble brag however this was from playing the APC which I think many players don't know how to use still. Plus it was sitting undriven too... ugh.

It all depends on what kind of players you play against, in Europe there is a large community of BF players who have been playing together for years and only on PC.

I have no issues running MSI AB in the background. I also undervolt and overclock memory.

If you are crashing it is likely:

Bad install of drivers
Bad install of MSI AB
Unstable undervolt

Drivers are fine and MSI AB beta should run fine.

I really don't know, it's the same with rdr2, some drivers drivers are good, later the same thing again, someone should make an alternative.
Where can I download the latest beta?I have the latest official nvidia drivers
