Cool story bro, I don't know how its news to me when I fully expected this to be the case. Unlike the BF fanboy boot licking apologists, I don't expect EA/DICE to do its customers any favors despite it being widely reported that many people want a server browser and a BF6 producer openly asking on X why it was important to users. But I do find it funny that you keep putting your butt hurt on full display in this thread.

I'm hoping for some large scale naval maps. Paracel Storm was one of my favorite BF maps that I enjoyed in Conquest and Rush modes with amphibious armor, boats, air vehicles, towers, trenches, C-130, weather effects and moar!!

Has there been any details about the battle Royale mode?

Pubg is good but has shit gunplay. Warzone is... Warzone. Apex is fine and I've played my fair share.

I want to see battlefield 6 not fuck this up.

From what I've seen on Youtube the BF6 BR mode is coming but if I'm not mistaken it may be after launch and it will be free2play too.

Will play some more with the next beta. Play lists are shit though, they're even worse than the regular match making. If I play to play a mode, I want to play that mode. I only am interested in Conquest (or Conquest Large if that is present), Domination or TDM.

And when battlelog was announced the official forums went mental with people not wanting it and instead wanting the standard in game browser. Battlelog turned out really well, now for battlefield 6 the main games not even getting a server browser, only the portal gimmick it seems...:confused:

It's just one of those ridiculously sick players (and for sure they don't do much else in life than playing shooters all day). Even when she supposedly tracks the guy behind the rock, you can clearly see the player spotted on the minimap.

As for today's patch I'm a little sad, the new map is still small urban stuff, and they broke DLSS (hotfix on the way, though).

I listen to Video Games Outsider Podcast and this was brought up by one of the hosts, as he was hoping they were going to bring it back as well. It's another one of the reasons I don't care much for modern MP games anymore. Not only would this let people host and join servers with map playlists and rules that they like, it would largely solve a lot of the cheating issues by letting server mods take control and kick people for cheating or just general ass-hattery.

Hell they could even host servers for cheaters to play in themselves if they want to. But no, they have to have complete control of the game and it can be another dead game when they inevitably kill the services it uses.
 
In the camp of folks having high TN and rubber banding consistently. A reboot fixes it for a few hours then the shens start again. Big thread on reddit/EAforums on this happening. 12900k/5090.

At least I can make it playable for a bit, but having to reboot just for this game annoys me. Definitely enjoying it while I am in.

DLSS and DLAA are broken
 
I cancelled my pre-order for now. Will see how it turns out at launch but I'm disappointed by this new map.

(yes, I know pre-orders are generally just a bad idea)
 
Not a big fan of rush as a 12v12 mode or the new map so far.

We already have 2 city maps in the beta, didn't really need a third. The new map also feels like the worst of the bunch.

Rush in 24v24 or at least 16v16 in much larger maps could have been fun. Right now it is to breakthrough what domination is to conquest, just a miniature version on much smaller versions of the map, that is nowhere near as good.
 
I still think Breakthrough is where it's at for BF6 in it's current state with map sizes being what they are. Conquest has potential if we get truly large scale maps. Not a huge fan of Rush, then again, never have been.

Any word on DLSS/DLAA fix?
 
Best Buy gave me a $10 gift card today in my email. Not sure why, expires on the 1st of next month. BF6 is on pre-order at Best Buy with a $10 Best Buy gift card. I applied the gift card bringing the price down to $60 + another $10 Best Buy gift card. If you plan to get something else at Best Buy, it more or less makes it $50. That is assuming Best Buy is giving everyone the initial $10.

Though it does not state which client it is for, I think it is for the EA app. I'd rather have it on Steam. Origin used to be fine but the new EA app is slow.

is this new map their flagship NYC map? if so this sucks. not impressed with any maps so far, siege is the only one I kinda like.

I think they're saving their better and larger maps, especially Operation Firestorm, for the launch. The NY map is chaotic but I like it. It's like an open multilevel Metro if that makes sense.

idk why they wouldn't showcase their best maps now. this is starting to look like a flop for me, 4/9 maps I don't like, so I'd be spending $70 for 5 maps. Hope the BR is good

That would be odd. The vehicle maps are too small and too constrained. I've been fighting tanks for minutes in my own, because we're constantly repaired and can't kill each other. Nowhere to go but forward or back.

The new map is an infantry only map apparently and it is kind of fun but the vehicle maps don't seem well designed. Need a lot more vehicles and some more openness for long rang and flanking.

I've had some good games in the tank/IFV, but it just lacks the fun of BF3/4. It was only after BF1 and whatnot came out that I realized how important the customized servers were for vehicles, with higher count and quicker spawns. Maps like Golmud Railway had many opportunities for flanking and shooting while moving. So far the Conquest maps were are very static.
