Battlefield 3 General Discussion Thread

If the game is lagging this much and it's unreleased, I can only imagine that tonight/tomorrow will be disastrous, but overall it's pretty fun & looks pretty decent
 
I used the same vpn method to get a spotify account a while back... such an easy way around regional lockouts.

I88 you have to report back if you can get BF3 Eyefinity portrait mode to work. I can get landscape, but not portrait. :mad: The game launches fine, I just get a black screen.

There's a dev console command that lets you disable DX11, I'm not sure if it works though...
Bring down console (~) and type: RenderDevice.Dx11Enable FALSE
 
Anyone know why my left mouse button is stuck in the on position when in game? Im having this problem with a deathadder black edition, fully up to date drivers. But it also does this with another mouse I plug in.
 
I can't get through an MP map without crashing to my desktop... seems to be totally random. Longest I've been able to go is maybe 20 minutes. SP was fine.

Going to try the new nvidia drivers.
 
this game is sooo laggy, it's gonna be an absolute shitshow until they get the lag sorted out
 
AW YEAH. Worked for me with the Indonesian address but took 2 tries( first failed, clicked retry and worked)
 
SP=5hrs=no sale from me.
I was under the impression SP was more of a focus this time round, but obviously not.

If you want to unlock the game now:

You just need to bypass validation by setting up your PC for a Korean IP which is Launch Day today. Once it's validated and bypassed you can come back to USA IP.

(1) Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Connections --> Lan Settings --> Check "Use a proxy server"
Type this Korean Info: 203.232.208.116 port 8080

(2) Run Origin and unlock the game.

(3) Go back and remove the Korean proxy and now you should be able to fully play in USA servers

--- UPDATE --- The Korean IP is getting overloaded. If it doesn't work try the Indonesian IP with same port.

Theres a few good servers out with minimal lag.. Hate how the battlelog didnt keep my friends... kinda ticked about that. But other than that, awesome game..
