well to be fair, any SP = more than last time(last time = bf2)


wonder how long coop is(also the revies I saw said 6-8 hrs for SP).

try it on harder diff to add time to it of course

Ya, my question is how do you force DX10 instead of DX11? Sometimes it works a lot better.

I've gotten into the game now by adjusting the PROF_SAVE_profile file in Documents\Battlefield 3\settings. Although, the game is only using 2 out of the 4 GPU cores. The really odd thing is it is using cores 1 and 4, 2 and 3 stay idle.

Here is the settings file for BF3, and unlike BC2, there is no DX setting. :mad:

lol I used my lunch break to walk home, turn my computer on ( i need wake on lan :|), used logmein at work to log into my computer at home, tried out the VPN work around, and now i'm messing around with all my settings at work so I'm ready to go right when I get back from beer run. :):):)

What is the story on the train? I am on meds so maybe that's it but interact does not work on retrieving the shot gun from the door where it is jammed?

I don't know about you, but I am going to be spending 100+ hours in multiplayer.. more than justifies the purchase to me... sp & coop are just bonuses... actually looking forward to coop more than sp

Not sure if trolling. Nobody plays Battlefield for single player. And you must not play any games other than RPGs because I can't recall the last time a shooter took me more than 8 hours to beat. Maybe Half Life 2 back in '04 since that took me about 15 to beat the first time.

Shit, I spent 600+ hours in bc2....
 
So, it appears EA (according to Joystiq reviewer) has told all media to not post console reviews of BF3 yet because of a day 1 patch. Must be one heck of a patch....has me a bit worried about my ps3 preorder.
 
Although I'd really like to play right now, I think I'm gonna wait til midnight. You never know, there could be repercussions for doing this down the line.

The single player is pretty lame. The subway scene is pretty retarded. Very scripted, annoying little cut-scenes and a joke for AI. Bring on the multi-player!

1. It hurts nothing on their end for us to activate through a VPN. P.S. I'd find it to be fraudulent activity for them to disable a game I paid for when no wrongdoing occurred, because they got annoyed for people using a VPN, which is a completely legitimate connection method.

2. We wouldn't have to buy another copy, we just wouldn't play or buy future products from them. It would be a dumb PR move and dumb move in general, thus it won't happen because it makes no sense for them to care, let alone actually do, anything regarding it since there's no wrongdoing here.
 
~900hrs for me in BC2, this is how I justified buying a 2600k and matrix gtx580, I def get my monies worth in entertainment value.

The average person spends money on going to movies, going out to eat, etc.

The average blu-ray on release day is about $25 dollars. That gets you probably less than 2 hours. For $60 you get unlimited. Gaming is the best entertainment/cost ratio.

1) By not doing anything, it could be taken as "break the rules, we dont care."

2) I am willing to be most people who get banned from BF3 are going to be buying another copy the same hour they get banned.

I wont be playing come midnight, ye olde anniversary today.

i think i'm up to 1000 hours now with my kick ass phenom II x4 940 and 8800GT (mind you 600 of those hours were done with an 8800GS). i'll probably get BF3 once i can afford a new gpu, my 8800GT can't handle the baddassness of BF3 :(

this is pretty much how EA works anyway...getting them to actually do anytihng about cheaters/etc is near impossible. They really don't care...

sucks that the older BF games didn't have stats....I'd love to see how many hours total I've played them all. Think I spend like 500 hours of BF2, 1000 hours in 2142 and probably less than 200 on BC2. I know BF1942 I must have played for well over 2000 hours. I played that game almost daily for like 4 years straight.
 
2142 with the Titan mode was incredible. If they made a sequel to that I would be lining up on release day.
