Max = Maximum = Highest possible setting. So yeah, Ultra with AA and all that shit. A single 570 or 580 should be able to handle High - Ultra at a playable FPS.

Also, I believe this game doubles up on AA with the max setting. So it's doing normal AA and post-process AA at the same time. Turn off one of those and turn off Motion Blur and you can rock Ultra safely, or so I've heard.
 
Does it even make sense to run both 4x MSAA and FXAA at the same time? Wouldn't it just be one or the other?

I thought FXAA just basically took care of aliasing by itself, just in a different way... or am I misunderstanding?

I don't see the benefit of running both at the same time. :confused:

How did you manage that?

Note: I was screwing around and changed my pc timezone to international date west, and tried to play BF3... instead of saying "wait till the 25th at 0300", it said "wait till the 24th at 1900". Is that even possible lol?
 
I did it! Unlocked and good to go :D

(1) Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Connections --> Lan Settings --> Check "Use a proxy server"
Type this Korean Info: 203.232.208.116 port 8080

(2) Run Origin and unlock the game.

(3) Go back and remove the Korean proxy and now you should be able to fully play in USA servers :D

you can tweak that in the options FYI.

its set to 85% by default but no idea what the over/underscan values you run in CCC or nvidia CP will do to that

but it is changable, I found it while hex editing the settings files for the beta

That's a slow Korean proxy compared to the Korean .edu ones :X

Ahhh I hope he's not bullshitting. I would love to play at least the single player when I get off work... None of the managers are working today, might have to dip kind of early!

Wow...Glad I am getting that extra 570 on Thursday now...

A lot harder on machines than I would have thought. But I guess I'll see for sure when I get the game tomorrow.

EDIT: Seems odd that they would only use the new driver on the 580...

I think i just came, in my pants, at work.

Now I will need to go home and change them, but I shall decide not to come back to work, because, I think I have the flu good sirs.
 
Anyone got another working proxy?

found another one, no luck still, just says Cant play till 10-25 300.
 
I wish it used the .ini file configuration that BFBC2 used... Looks like it's back to using a hex editor
 
Crap! Got BF3 to validate through VPN but now it won't launch. Anyone else get these errors/know how to fix them?

Sounds like a lot of people on battlelog that used a korean proxy are having this issue. Trying to figure out how it would be related..

Could I ask how many people you have seen affected? Where are they saying this, battlelog forums?
