Hi! Early this year I used my PC problem free via the integrated GPU of my Ryzen 7600X, but today, there is a major issue. I just sent my dedicated GPU to warranty service and after some troubleshooting I did with it, I had a dated Adrenaline driver version installed. I plugged my monitor to the...
Hi,
I have to play with HDMI cable's connector by wiggling it inside laptop's HDMI output for monitor to detect the signal. When signal is detected I get red lines on monitor. Tried a couple of cables by now.
Is there a way to fix this?

Hey! I need to buy a fiber optic HDMI cable at 6 meters in order to use my pc with my 4k tv and a controller for gaming. I'm a bit concerned about possible input lag though, as the signal is converted to light in the cable and then back again. What do you guys think? Do i risk increasing input...

8K displays were everywhere at CES this year, which means HDMI 2.1 had to be there to actually drive them. HDMI 2.1 basically existed as a standard and little more in 2018, but the Japanese site 4Gamer took a particularly hard look at the state of HDMI 2.1 at the trade show. Apparently, the...

According to testing by Reddit users, the USB-C VirtualLink port on the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 can be used with the Oculus Rift VR headset. Reddit user TheDecn accomplished this by using Apple's USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter to hook his Oculus Rift to the VirtualLink port on his RTX...
AMD developer Nicholas Kazlauskas has uploaded a series of patches, that when eventually added to the Linux kernel, will enable 'FreeSync' within Linux. Adaptive sync is the Displayport spec and variable refresh rate is the same but pertains to the HDMI spec that allows for graphics adapters...

I just ordered myself Oculus Rift + Touch Bundle and suddenly noticed that I have only one HDMI port in my graphics card and that is reserved for my Samsung TV that I use as a monitor.
So question is, what is the cheapest option to convert one of my DP ports into HDMI? I know there are some...
Sometimes I game on my monitor, sometimes I like to sit back on my bed and play games on my 55" smart TV. I currently have a 2M HDMI cable going from my video card into the back of the TV and I use the duplicate option to mirror what's shown on my monitor to my TV. I am in the process of buying...
Hi All,
The sale on Rift has got me thinking about snagging one but I have a few questions.
1. Each card only has 1 x HDMI output but am I right in saying that only the primary card's outputs will work?
2. My main monitor is a 4k TV which only has HDMI inputs.
3. How do I go about connecting...
I recently purchased a MacBook for my wife, and realized we needed some cables as the ones we'd used for her old MacBook were all obsolete now. So I went a little crazy and picked up a few different adapters, knowing I'd likely need them for myself when I upgraded. I honestly expected that this...

As we reported on last month, a new version of the HDMI standard is soon upon us. Many of you know that I use a large 4K TV as my primary monitor on my desktop. As fantastic as this solution has been, I've always wondered what if. What if I could have higher refresh rates than 60hz, or what...
Backstory: a few months ago I got two LG 27UD68 4K FreeSync monitors for a good price to replace my old 1440p Aurias with big ugly plastic bazels. My R9 290 didn't have proper outputs to drive 4K at 60Hz so since I don't game that much anymore I also got RX 480 (MSI Gaming X model). I tried...
So I recently bought one of these, in order to get my TV to turn on with my PC. The problem is since it uses a Windows app it won't kick the TV on until about 30 seconds after I log-in, and since the TV is my primary monitor that means I have to log-in blind.
Is there an option I can use to...
I have steam link and ps4, i want 2 of that connected to the tv at the same time but on the tv only have 1 hdmi so i can only connect 1 at a time, which is really inconvenient for me because i have to unplug 1 and plug the other one in. Are there any solution to this?
Does this use two separate video feeds or does it use the same interleaving trick that 3D televisions use (either double frame rate or interlaced)?
And the card has to render the game twice right? Each lens gets it's own "camera" in game? So even 1920x1080, the card it still having to render...
I've been wanting to upgrade to a new monitor for a few months now. I'm pretty much ready to jump on the LG 29UM58 ultrawide as the price is right, I won't be able to use the higher 29um68's freesync cos I use Nvidia cards and the 34" versions at 1080p seem like a bad, blurry choice.
That...
Hi Everyone,
I've had the Seiki se42ugt for about 3 weeks now. I enjoy it for the price, even though I know it's not 4:4:4. I ran into a problem yesterday where when I powered the tv on after being off at night, my desktop had really blurry fonts that was missing chunks of pixels from it...
