The text effects at the top in the very top black area are completely annoying to me. You should only have 1 line, like creativity set free, that comes out when the page first loads and then stops. THe animation over and over again got on my nerves within 30 seconds.
The buttons on the main nav menu are way too large. You shouldn't have any more green there than what is necessary to cover the text plus a little bit on top and bottom. Make the height smaller.
I would like to follow all new posts to this forum topic either by RSS feed or even an email notification when a new post is made. Is that possible at all through these forums via a setting that I've overlooked or am I SOL?
Guys, I actually got a 3-way splitter from Radio Shack that takes the feed and goes out to 3. Then plugged all 3 cables from the 5.1 into the single stereo out of the laptop. It honestly sounds pretty good. I wasn't expecting EAX or surround, I just wanted stereo sound to come out of every...
So, I just purchased creative inspire T5400 speakers. They have a subwoofer, a center speaker, 2 rear speakers, and 2 front speakers.
The problem with these speakers is that you need to have all 3 channels plugged in to hear all speakers. There's a cord for the sub/center, a cord for the...
The guy that gave you that advice has got to be retarded. How in the hell people like that even get telephone support jobs is beyond me.
XP Pro is the exact same OS as is XP Home minus a few small applications (like backup). Any driver that runs on Home is going to run on Pro.
I need a very stable, good, free component or code or anything really that is easy to setup and will let me browse for files in a form, and then upload them to a folder on the server.
Anyone have such a gem?
For price & performance does anything beat the Dell D600? I say PRICE because it's important. The D600 can be had for about $1400 with everything I need loaded in it.
Refurbished D600 with 1 year warranty & support:
5 pounds
Pentium M - 1800 (I need at LEAST Pentium M 1.8Ghz or P4 2.4Ghz)...
The first thing I would buy is a new pair of underwear for the whole crapping the pants issue.
Go with Athlon 64.
And with that much cash you may as well throw in a hauppauge PCI video capture board and a DVD burner and do some DVD burning.
To open a new window in a tab hold down CTRL when you click a link or use the middle mouse button to click a link.
For the plugins go to the firebird homepage and the plugins are all listed
It *IS* a good book, I also recommend it.
Another thing to keep in mind - Any book that is focused on "Server 2003" will cover the operating system itself in great detail, but none of these books go into very good depth on IIS, Exchange, Etc.
If you really want to master the entire server...
I would hardly call the 'next generation' of cards 'next generation' since the amount of on board memory remains the same as it has been for the past 2 or 3 generations. Stuck at 256. I think for games like D3 or HL2 it would benefit to have 512MB of on board video ram. Will cards with that...
regmon is not what you need for this.
You need a tool like easyclean. You can google for it. It keeps track of every single key and file changed or modified between 2 points in time.
This is a pretty odd thread, considering I just had 2 NF7-M (same family :-0 ) boards die last week. They were turned off overnight, the next morning would not power on. Red light was on, no green light ever came up, nothing spinned up. Doubtful power is to blame when system is turned OFF.
Then no offense but you've been talking to the wrong people :-P
I work on PC's for a living. My 8600 started off by replacing my home computer and eventually it's replaced my work computer, and now it's the only computer I use or even need.
This is a really good laptop.
1) Get rid of the SXGA. If you read Dell forums you will find a whole heaps of people who have had serious problems with SXGA screens. You will save money by going to the lower class screen and there's not much difference. The size of the screen itself is exactly the same, the only diff is...
OK. We replaced the mouse with a different one, this one is using wheel.. And the problem persists.
She leaves the PC a while. Then comes back. And moves the mouse around. It doesn't move the mouse pointer at all for a while (looks like it's frozen up) until eventually the cursor 'wakes up'...
Bump..
So I have a major static problem as well at my office. I've used anti-static spray, and it hasn't helped jack.
What is the BEST way to solve this problem based on someones actual experience? Is it some kind of strip attached to the desk?
Great, thank you for linking me up. I don't have the time to follow [H] every day :(..
Now if they would get SEARCH function working again I wouldn't have to ask n00b questions!
Alright we have a bit of a problem in our office.
There's 3 people who walk around the office quite a bit doing work. Unfortunately on doing this they build up a lot of static electricity.
Very often they shock the computers and equipment. When they touch the CD-Rom eject button, the power...
BTW: You should consider getting 2 batteriess and 2 power cables. 1 power cable for home, 1 for the road. W/2 batteries I find I can run the notebook full power 6-7 hours before plugging it in again.
I'm posting from an i8600 right now :)
It's completely replaced my old desktop (Athlon 1.2), and I must say I have not shed a tear getting rid of the old PC.
Your config is nice.. Mine has 1.4M and a much slower HD and it's still pretty fast. So, with the faster CPU/HD you are getting you...
So I have this machine at work. It works fine until the user leaves their desk for a couple of minutes and comes back. Then they will move the mouse around and the mouse stays frozen for several seconds and won't move. Only after 3-4 seconds does the mouse 'wake up' and begin to operate. It...
There have been known issues posted about 8600 and hitachi screens. But only with the WSXGA model. The majority of i8600 are WXGA so they aren't affected by this.
And yeah. If you have a hitachi screen about the only thing you can do is try to get it replaced. Do you still have the 15 day...
I hear ya. But from what I've seen in looking at ultra light laptops, you save maybe what. 2, 3 pounds MAX? And for that 3 pounds typically end up paying $1000 more, and get 1/2 the features. It just doesn't seem worth it to me for 3 pounds? My coffee cup weighs almost that.
Today is the last day I think of the discounts?
$350 off refurbished models and free shipping. It rocks, if you hurry you can get a top of the line i8600 for about $1600 including 80GB HD, 512MB Ram and a DVD burner.
That's what I got, anyways :)
