The UK Wants ISPs to Store All of Their Traffic Data

The article mentions they will be decrypting communications... not sure how that will be possible at all, let alone doing in real time? Unless they have some undocumented SSL vulnerabilities perhaps? Anyone know more details?

FBI: We Need Wiretap-Ready Web Sites -- Now

As a non-US citizen, all I can say is you guys need to fight this garbage. If the USA becomes a surveillance state and freedom is lost, the rest of the world is screwed too.

Kids Run Up $10k Bill Watching Netflix

I'm not so sure about this. From all the stories we've head about carriers and their astronomical bills, there are lots about them forgiving and reducing the bills. But when those customers get those $100,000 bills, if the carrier really was on the hook for that much and was just in turn...

    Zotac Z68-ITX Wifi

Also, I presume you already tried resetting the CMOS... I've never had a board, that by holding down the power button, didn't not turn it off. If you can, try another power supply. If that doesn't fix it, it would be a pooched board for sure.

Canadian Songwriters Want to Legalize File-Sharing

The thing missing in the article is how exactly they will "monetize" the file sharing. Subscription service maybe? Presumably traditional (non-monetized) file sharing would still be illegal.

    The Future of Free Energy?

I think guys like this are part of the real problem. There's things like this every few years. We are enticed that technology is going to save us soon. So we don't need to feel bad by doing business as usual in the meantime. We can continue over consumption and waste because the solution is...

Canada Starting to Switch Over to Plastic Currency

Out of curiosity, how may people here still use cash only for day to day purchases? I've been finding myself using debit or credit more often, just for the sake of not having to deal with mountains of loose change. I sincerely hope cash is never phased out. Realistically we don't have the...

Security Flaw Links BitTorrent Users to Skype Accounts

Wireless Carriers Openly Considering Charging per Service

question about 333 fsb vs 400 fsb?

I'm sure there's those that would disagree, but IMO it's not worth upgrading from 2400+ to 2500+. But if you do get a new CPU, get a mobile. I wonder if you could unlock your 2400+ and run the FSB @ 200...?
