The article mentions they will be decrypting communications... not sure how that will be possible at all, let alone doing in real time? Unless they have some undocumented SSL vulnerabilities perhaps? Anyone know more details?
As a non-US citizen, all I can say is you guys need to fight this garbage. If the USA becomes a surveillance state and freedom is lost, the rest of the world is screwed too.
I'm not so sure about this. From all the stories we've head about carriers and their astronomical bills, there are lots about them forgiving and reducing the bills.
But when those customers get those $100,000 bills, if the carrier really was on the hook for that much and was just in turn...
Also, I presume you already tried resetting the CMOS...
I've never had a board, that by holding down the power button, didn't not turn it off.
If you can, try another power supply. If that doesn't fix it, it would be a pooched board for sure.
@ cshard
Not sure what's its worth, but mine seems to be working fine, and its displaying the code "00" as i type this. I wish Zotac would release the top secret info of what the LEDs mean.
The thing missing in the article is how exactly they will "monetize" the file sharing. Subscription service maybe? Presumably traditional (non-monetized) file sharing would still be illegal.
I think guys like this are part of the real problem. There's things like this every few years. We are enticed that technology is going to save us soon. So we don't need to feel bad by doing business as usual in the meantime. We can continue over consumption and waste because the solution is...
Out of curiosity, how may people here still use cash only for day to day purchases? I've been finding myself using debit or credit more often, just for the sake of not having to deal with mountains of loose change.
I sincerely hope cash is never phased out. Realistically we don't have the...
See above comments for explanation.
Basically you would need to delete your personal details from your Skype profile? Although that would certainly make it hard for people to find you on Skype.
Dammit, I was ready to pull the trigger on a new build with the SG07, and then I found out the SG08 is supposed to come out soon. Liking the looks of the 08 a bit more (and USB 3.0 is nice).
Next up... 10 cents per facebook posting.
Canada and USA already have the world's most expensive cell phone service.
I don't know exactly where we rate on internet costs, but this should help us reach that honor too.
I don't get it... AMD says they have no plan for PhysX since its a closed standard.... but will support DX11 instead. DX isn't exactly an open stadard is it???
The good news is you don't need to replace your collection! Your DVD movies will still work in your new high definition player.
I wonder how long it will take for Paramount to get out of their HD-DVD contract.

Someone I know wants to change their pro install into a legit home version install. Anyone know of an easier way to do this than reformatting? Would it be possible to just change the product key, or something similar? Any suggestions appreciated!
I'm sure there's those that would disagree, but IMO it's not worth upgrading from 2400+ to 2500+. But if you do get a new CPU, get a mobile. I wonder if you could unlock your 2400+ and run the FSB @ 200...?
