I have the same cpu as you clocked at 4.2Ghz and just upgraded from a 670 to a 1070 and its perfect. My benchmark scores are slightly lower than people with newer cpu's but its marginal at best. I game at 1440p and GTA V was killing me, max everything on the 1070 is using 5GB of memory and runs...
I have 15 of these drives and they have been working great, the first 2 I bought are labeled Hitachi as the manufacturer. On the other drives the label has changed but the part numbers and ect are identical. So I am pretty sure these drives are made by Hitachi and the price is right. Oh and HGST...
I own a Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 and it works fine, my setup with it was a windows 7 machine with flexraid installed. I went to use this card in my freenas build and it is not compatible with freenas. I ended up buying a LSI 9211-8i and flashed it to IT mode for freenas and it also works great.
"The InfiniTV network tuner bridging feature will not be available in Windows 8."
This is just terrible... I really hope this is not just a choice by Ceton because of their new extender. This will cause me to stop using Ceton products.
I hope every post Blkout has ever made is deleted because its all garbage. I know im not the only one out there with this opinion and anybody that does go in and delete these please read into the garbage he says it does not belong on these forums its useless.
After reading just one of those posts and seeing people only get +5 on the core with +500 memory instantly made me close it and stop reading anything you posted. Because that is amateur at best. You will see better OC's at lower memory clocks without doubt.
Of course I bought the TOP version to OC, but even without adding my own OC the Asus will probably out do your 1270 boost clock. What exactly do you base your in depth knowledge of the Asus cards performance on exacty? Obviously you don't use the 10/10 TPU review lolz.
I am not a noob, you do not need to explain that oc'ing a gpu is hit or miss. I am simply saying the Asus is better than the gigabyte in many ways and I hope to prove later its better performance as well. I understand you do not agree, but as somebody who isn't going to own a Asus I think you...
Well the one I returned did not. I didn't even get 1200. But lucky for me my TOP is going to without doubt. I read so much bad stuff about OC'ing the gigabyte its a huge hit and miss scenario. I am hoping that is not the case on the Asus. I will know soon!
My card is out for delivery today! 1250+ boost out of the box is what I expect what other card does that??? Ok now that we both know this is the best card ill go wait at my door...
The Gtx 670 version has a vrm heatsink. I dont know why they dont use this same cooler on the 680... The tri slot cooler has more heat pipes but only 3 of the 5 contact the core chip (670 has 3 heat pipes all making contact with the chip along with being only a 2 slot card) And from what your...
Both are good cards yet I bought the Asus because you get that 30 dollars extra you pay back in many ways. Backplate for looks stability and increased cooling. Performance aside the components on the Asus are of higher quality (DIGI+ VRM and 8-phase super alloy power technology ect) and because...
Except the Asus TOP 670 hits 1280 boost out of the box, so obviously they are not in the same range... If you don't believe me watch this video AsusROG. This is possible because of the DIGI+ VRM and 8-phase super alloy power technology along with great cooling. Then in the same video he makes a...
I am waiting on my Asus GTX 670 DirectCU II TOP from the egg, I had previously been waiting to find a Gigabyte Windforce in stock without luck. I feel lucky I didn't because this asus card is awesome. At 429 you pay a premium over the Gigabyte but you get what you pay for on this thing. The...
I love the Ceton InfiniTV 4 PCIe Cable Card tuner. Streaming over gigabit network I can even do it over wireless without issues to Xbox extenders or laptops walking around my house without a single wire. It is amazing.
This has to be wrong... Using more voltage over LLC can not produce better results or temps. From what I can tell Ivy loves the LLC. I will take my low voltage OC with Medium-High LLC over higher voltage any day.
Going to try my i5 3570k out on a Gigabyte UD5H combo from MC tomorrow. Waiting on a ssd from the egg for the boot drive. MC would not match the pricing of the egg on crucial m4's.
Curious what your build is for using the G620, I am curious if that cpu will run a windows home server 2011 well enough to stream hit bit mkv's along with the usual backups ect.
Thanks
Does anybody have experience using the G620 for whs2011 I dont want to have issues streaming 1080p mkv blu ray rips. Other than the backup and storage that's all I plan to do with my server. I'm all for using that cheaper cpu if it can do the job without issue. Also does that b65 board support...

Any thoughts on this board? No idea what b65 is or if this will run WHS 2011 but it has 6 sata and usb 3.0 seems legit for what I need if it would work. Again if somebody that knows their stuff could step in and help me pick the...
Why h67 or z68, I assume any intel board uses intel nics. What are the benefits I will get from a newer gen board. If you have one to recommend that would be awesome.
Thanks
I am looking to build my home server with consumer non server grade hardware for windows home server 2011, I have everything I need atm but a mobo and cpu. Been eyeing the i3 2125 at micro center for $119. Looking to spend under 100 on the mobo. I plan to use the server to backup about 4 pc's...
Im curious what processor to use for WHS 2011, I want to stream 1080p video without a problem. I want to use a consumer non sever chip. Can the i3 T series do this at 35w or will there be a need for the 65w versions. I assume the i3 is plenty for whs 2011. I just dont understand what you really...
With my case the 500r, Corsair says to use the option one you listed but make the rear fan an intake to provide fresh cool air to blow out through the radiator.
I use this config with a magnetic filter on the rear fan to remove dust. the 500r case works and looks amazing with the h100 imho.
