since 8-17 the win 10 update has tried to download 10 16 times, and failed. Never requested win 10 update. HD never stops, Driving me crazy. Anyone at ms I can call?

Just go to win update, they will tell you real quick.

I for one have no interest in another OS, unless my computer fries or 2020 comes. 7/64 suits me just fine.

Sorry to be late, had a emergency. I download a document to my desktop, it come in 2 items, document folder and file folder. Now I have just file folders and no document folder.

I have lots of files with no document. Can I recover the document with just files.

I manual delete, no big deal.

Solved: All backups are hidden except latest, went into backup manager and deleted all backups except current. You can also delete some or all old backups, if all else fails read the instructions.

Good question, 71.2 GB on C drive. I never thought to check that.

So your saying 1 backup would use 254 gb, seems very high.

I installed a 500 GB slave a year ago. I have only one windows backup on the drive. 465 gb 211 gb free 254 gb used. How can I find out what else is on, only shows one backup.

Is there any way to install a program, so when you make a new user the program will already be there. Other than oem programs, any installed are gone.

I contacted XnView, there program will not open aol art. files, back to square one.

My old comp has a AC97 sound card. I want to use my old speakers, harmon/kardon self powered on the new computer with a High Definition Audio, 8 speaker sound card, does not mention manufacture. Will it be plug and play.

My HP came with software to burn 1 recovery CD or DVD.

Next February my computer will be 6 years old, looking forward to a new one with win 7.

My HP with XP will be 5 years old February 09, will be looking at a new computer in one year, right now Win 7 looks good to me.

My FF3 started crashing ever 2 minutes, went back to FF2 and all is good.

My HP with AMD 03 box, SP3 did go.

I installed SP3 on my HP with AMD processor on a 2003 machine with little trouble. Part way through it showed an error code and I just run the disc again and it went.

I shut mine down everyday for the last 4 years, start it back up in the morning. It does no harm and electric costs.

When I copy a photo in XP, when I right clk on it for properties , I still have the original date.

I use restore, works great and saved my butt a few times. Use HP imaging. I agree the rest I really don't need.
