How does the relatively high restriction of the flowmeter on the suction side of the pump affect performance?
The suction side of these pumps should be restricted as little as possible!
I would be very concerned about write amplification on RAID6...
I tried R6 on Areca ARC1882ix-24 with 10 512GB 840 Pros. Disks all had zero data written (fresh specimens) and after an initialize they had over 1.6TB written! That's BEFORE the array was even put to use. RAID10 would be far...
Is the ram upgradeable?
4GB is quite entry level. 8GB would have been better especially if there in no upgrade path. Perhaps a 16GB option available as well. C'mon, memory is cheap these days!
The possibilities are endless!
I work on a cruise ship, we could have a lot of fun with this!
I'm thinking water with a big white shark jumping up with its mouth open! :D
Or when the elevator stops, lights go to emergency only and the person presses the emergency call button have the...
Definitely low budget and poor taste.
If they wanted to make something to brag about perhaps they should have made a real cluster content delivery system with failover. While people are watching movies from both sites have one site struck by lightning.
Yes, lightning!
It can be...
Could be a 'shop.
Also could be a Vario (model). These things are about as real as they come!

Since when did enterprise storage products have a desktop (SATA) interface?
There are actual enterprise SSDs, they have a 6Gbps SAS interface. (and are quite expensive!)
Those were fun.
Anyone remember Corridor 7 Alien Invasion?
Definitely bring back games of the 90s. Heck I would not even care if the graphics were not upgraded, just let them run on modern 64bit OS!
ROTT was awesome especially with my Turtle Beach Multisound and custom GM patches...
The danger comes not from the high frequency side but electrocution from a D'Arsonval type discharge that can connect the user to the lethal primary side currents/voltages. An arc is a conductor as if one is touching a solid copper wire. In a 25kVA set up with 34kV and 750mA I can assure you...
Don't believe that's 750mW or at least for long. WL handhelds are the most unstable pieces of crap. They are the bose of the hobby and give laserists a bad name.
Head over to laserpointerforums.net and read up on this.
A good (true) class IV lab laser putting out 1W 532 TEMoo with a...
Ours work, you need a mobile rack with sideband support. Ipass functionality is the best since it uses one simple connection.
One thing that I've noticed that's strange regarding LED indicators though. Only Intel SSDs will actually fire the activity LEDs. I've tried other SSDs with SF...
I refuse to use IE9 since it enables cleartype with no way to turn that steaming pile of junk off. Cleartype should be an OPTION, if the user wants it they can have it, not the other way around.
Not sure about these modules but it does in fact support (unofficially) 192GB RAM with Samsung modules. Three sticks per socket (96GB) should be no problem with these even at 1T command rate!
Create a passthrough drive by selecting it from the physical drive menu. The controller will do the rest for you. When booting into your OS it will be seen as a SCSI device.
IIRC a satellite takes about 90 minutes to orbit the Earth so it's definitely sped up. ;)
It's neat seeing the thunderstorms - the twinkling/flashing cloudtops is lightning!
This is my point - every time I install 7 I disable "windows defender" and "system restore" right off the bat.
If they put it in the OS so it breaks something when disabled or can't be disabled at all that's bad. It's bad enough dealing with bloatware of a modern OS but when you have...
Frankly I don't see the point of Windows Defender or any of these so called "protection" schemes. As long as a browser can run a script surreptitiously and wreck a system there's going to be problems.
No thank you, I'd much rather have the best performance possible and NOT have any of this...
I would not worry about that. The CPU on the 1680 won't raise an alarm until 70°C IIRC. What gets hot without active airflow or a fan is the 1880ix series. Temps in the 80s are not uncommon!
The second one will not restrict the flow if the rotating element sticks. (stops)
It does require the converter board. When connected to that and then connected to a fan header either on the motherboard or a popular fan controller like Lamptron the RPM reading is number of milliliters per...
1366x768!
If that display was 1600x900 it would be better. (1650x1050 for 16:10 users)
1920x1080 on that would be drool worthy to those of us with good peepers. :p
Neat video but wires don't "absorb" microwaves as explained in the video. An electrodeless envelope will glow as well. Many noble gases will exhibit specific spectra. This is a well known phenomenon. A borosilicate tube with a rarefied atmosphere and a getter will also produce a nice show...
Sorry, have not read though this entire thread...
(btw thanks for doing this testing - it seems to reinforce what I've been seeing with my non NF200 boards so far!)
What about the effects of SLI bridges? I know if you don't use 'em performance drops. A three way bridge on two cards does...
I did not see any selection higher than 2000. WB is enabled and there is 4GB of cache though. :)
Here's my most recent ASSD benchmark on this array:
PCI-E at 115 MHz makes the ARC fly. Been running 110 forever and that's the breaking point of all my previous boards. Most Asus boards...
