I still can't figure out how this is possible. When I installed my 1156 I looked closely at the arrows, but realized it didn't matter as it could only fit in one way. If you have to use ANY muscle at all to get computer parts to fit you are doing it wrong. Better luck in the future OP.

From Dell, they have an "outlet" portion on their site. Occasionally the U3011 comes up. Even for a refurb though, it looked like brand new condition. No problems thus far.

I agree, I sprung for a refurb U3011 and while it was $950, it was probably the best "PC" centric buy I've made. Great monitor, perfect size. At first it's almost overwhelming, but as time goes on it starts "shrinking". I think if I were to have got a 27" I'd feel a little regret not getting...

Backlight bleeding on my Acer GD235HZ was pretty atrocious, especially in 3D mode where it cranked the brightness to 100%. Ghosting was apparent some brighter scenes, but that is a limitation of the technology. Panel quality didn't seem that great to me for the price. I had a Samsung...

I hope it does well, I want it to do well. But I can't help but feel it won't be competitive to Sandybridge. If they keep power consumption and heat down, even if it's a little slower I would seriously consider it.

If I had one complaint about this monitor is that the edges look a little off colored. Not bad, but noticeable, but only on whites. I haven't calibrated it yet, so maybe I can smooth things out. Not enough for me to get worked up though. Still miles better than my acer or samsung lcd's.

Single-link. I already had a dual link cable so no big deal. Might order a longer one off monoprice though. They are only about $10.

Got my refurb yesterday. What an amazing monitor! No dead pixels, the thing looked great out of the box but I will likely adjust it after I get use to it. Games look amazing at 2560x1600 and all that extra space makes browsing the internet and desktop usage 10x better. This thing is huge...

A+ mouse. I replaced mine with a G500, but the MX518 stays in storage as back up.

Figures, I just bought a refurb for $950 a week ago. I likely would have bought new for only $100-$150 more... Oh well, the refurb I got looks flawless to me. Just don't have that warranty. :\

Did a little research, apparently HDMI only does 1080p. So there's that.

I have the 3D Acer monitor, it requires a dual link DVI cable to achieve 120HZ. I too am not sure if the HDMI cable is enough to run 2560x1600. Guess there's only one way to know for sure. :p

I haven't experienced an IPS monitor yet, but having a 120hz monitor I can say it is nice, but I'm not sure it's justified if you aren't going to do 3D. There is a perceivable difference when comparing 60FPS to 120FPS, but how much better it makes you is questionable. I'm not too happy with...
