The third-party SATA 6G controllers seem to underperform the native ones by a significant amount also, even if you could find a board with one:

Have any of you guys run a PicoPSU on an ATX power extension cable like that one? I'm currently working on a build in a Wesena ITX2, and the PicoPSU blocks the 2.5" drive mount (on the side of the case) when plugged directly into the motherboard. I'm thinking of using an extension cable, but I'm...
Don't know if anyone's posted this yet, but I found a review of the ASRock A75M-ITX: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/4295/asrock_a75m_itx_amd_a75_motherboard_review/index.html
Edit: now that I've read it, it's not exactly the greatest review in terms of what they actually look at...
Looks like this board is up on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500069
And there's also a version with a discrete GT430 onboard for an extra $50: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500070
I installed a 7900GT into a new PC running Vista Home Premium (first mistake...), and I originally didn't plug in the 6-pin supplemental power connector. I installed the latest nVidia driver, and after awhile in Windows an error message popped up saying that the card wasn't getting enough power...
Yeah, same here. I ordered on the 29th, but it's showing them OOS now and it hasn't shipped yet. I hope their stock was up to date and I don't have to wait a week or two to get it.
If you're going to get a non-HD TV, why not just stick with CRT? It seems like a waste of money to spend extra for an LCD TV when you won't be using it in a few years. CRT TVs are so cheap now, I'd just stick with one of them for SD.
As long as you can tolerate the lower resolution, it should be ok. I don't think I could game at 1366x768 though, too grainy. That's basically one of the biggest reasons why 24-inch monitors cost more than large LCD TVs. You're talking about 1920x1200 vs. 1366x768. That makes a huge difference...
I believe they do, I think they just don't have the same return policy as new ones. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... But this monitor would be my suggestion either way. You can get decent deals on ebay too, but then you have no guarantees wrt dead pixels and such.
I don't have experience with both, but I have the 2007. It's awesome, and I'm glad I got it. It's great for games/internet, but I haven't really watched any movies on it.
If you're not too concerned about being able to return it you could get it quite a bit cheaper on ebay. That can be a...
