Need to buy one today! Come on people in the know, tell me what to get!

My desires:
1) No more than 350 (preferably near 300).
2) Vibrant Colors (I frequently do image processing for grad school)
3) Be able to watch movies w/o any crazy effects (I'm not a gamer fyi)
4) Height adjustable (viewsonic 2025 is out)

Any ideas?

Does anyone know if:
1) Newegg open box deals come with a warranty?
2) If I buy a refurbished 2007wfp, does it come with a warranty?

Please let me know. Thanks.

I believe they do, I think they just don't have the same return policy as new ones. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... But this monitor would be my suggestion either way. You can get decent deals on ebay too, but then you have no guarantees wrt dead pixels and such.

For the same price I could get an open box samsung 215tw on new egg.

For 320 I can get the Dell from the refurbished site.

I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out if either would come with warranties.

Get the Dell 2007wfp, it is the best quality 20inch widescreen in your price range. DO NOT get the refurbished. Most refurbished monitors are dead pixel monitors that people send back and make up some excuse to have Dell replace it. It's worth a few extra bucks for a new one. Grab a 20% off coupon to get it down to around $350. You can find these coupons in the dell back to school thread in the freebies on this site or slickdeals.net dell coupon thread.

Another option if you like something a little larger is the Viewsonic 2235 22" WS for $350 at costco. However the screen won't be quite as nice as the dell but you get a larger screen.
