Your CPU progression

IBM 386DX 16 MHz (1995 - 97)
Intel Pentium II 266 MHz (1997 - 2000)
Athlon Thunderbird 1200 MHz (2000 - 2001)

386 With Mathematical Coprocessor 40 MHz (first computer, still have it, has 8mb ram which made it a beast!)
Pentium 133 MHz
Pentium II 400 MHz
Pentium III 667 MHz @ 993 MHz (got this for free, had a stock AMD fan attached to the P3 heatsink!)
Pentium IV 2.4c (2.4 GHz) (used this one the longest, about 7 years)
Core i7 965 3.2 GHz @ 3.4 GHz (current desktop)
Core i3 530 2.93 GHz (current HTPC)

I had the privilege of building a lot of older boxes but MY first was a 386....and boy was it SLOW.

386 SX 16MHz
486 DX2 66MHz
Cyrix 120
Cyrix PR133

Zilog Z80 1.77 MHz
65C02 1.023 MHz
486 DX2 66Mhz

Blur of many years, many Pentiums.. I can't even pretend to remember them. I do remember my first SMP excursion, the famed Abit BP6 with dual Celerons OC'd to 450 or 500mhz.

Athlon K7 2500
Pentium 4 2.6
Pentium 4 3.0

2 - 90 MHz Pentium
3 - 133mmx
4 - 166mmx
5 - 200mmx
--skipped the PII's.... something bugged me about having a nintendo cartridge for a cpu--
6 - started Overclocking with the celeron 300a (a 300MHz chip OC'd up to 450MHz was big back then)
7 - Switched camps with the Duron 600 and the pencil mod (OC'd to 900MHz)
8 - 1GHZ Thunderbird
9 - Atlon XP 2100 (oc'd to 2GHz even)
