So I haven't had all that many. I try to get some good mileage out of my boxen. I figure that somewhere around the time of next tax return I'll be looking to see which intel chip is the best bang for the buck at that time and get my next rig running. :)

Well, had a computer that I played ALL the time at my uncles house and it was pretty much mine when I was there. was a 486DX and for the life of me I dont remember the rest of the specs. after that it was a desert untill 2000.

So:

486DX

long break then:

Intel Pentium 3 (Dell)
Intel Pentium 4 (Dell)

finally started to build my own computers:

Athlon 64 2800+ (S754)
Athlon 64 4000+ (S939)
Athlon 64 FX-60 (S939)

and now

Intel Core i7 930 (S1366)

My fav hands down is this 930. Simply laughs at every game I have thrown at it.

6502 - Atari 400 - Had a tape drive and paid to get it pimped from 16k to 48k! My first mod!!!
Western Design Center 65C816 - Apple ][ GS
Pentium 60 mhz
Pentium Overdrive 120 mhz -1st CPU swap woot!
Athlon T-bird 1800+ - Custom build for me
Athlon XP T-bred 2200+ - 2nd CPU upgrade
I7-920 - My first build
I7-980x -3rd CPU upgrade
Also own an Athlon II x2 240 but there's a Phenom 1055T on the way to take its place

Amd 133mhz - This I overclocked to 166mhz. Sometimes got lucky on a reboot and jumped to 200mhz
Pentium 3 450mhz with a Riva TNT2 video card. Quake was awesome on this.
Pentium 3 1ghz - Woo hoo broke 1ghz barrier.
Athlon 1.8ghz Palomino with ATI 9700pro - CS at 100fps with vsync. It was never the same again.
Athlon 1.7ghz Thoroughbred @ 2.5ghz - This was fast before the Barton cores came out.
PPC 1.8ghz DP - Switched to Mac due to wifey
Opteron 144 - Should have waited for dual cores.. Kicked myself for this....
Opteron 165 - Finally after waiting so long.. Too bad it finally burned out and died
Athlon x2 4800 s939 - Still have this. No idea what to do
Intel e8500 @ 4ghz Yes I switched to the Intel side..
Intel q9550 @ 1.1v stock speed. Current work machine running multiple vms.

Athlon x2 4800 s939 - Still have this. No idea what to do

You send this to a fellow [H]ard Forum member, who's name sounds like RublaRon, so he can finally ditch his old P3 1GHz... :D
