Dumb question, but where do you get the beta key? I can't seem to find it.
got my beta key...will be trying the game out for the first time this weekend...hopefully it's not as bad as most people seem to think
I have done all the last few betas and didn't get an email about this one as of yet. Do I need to get a key for this one? or should I already have access?
I was one of the people ripping on this game (and rightfully so), but trust me, it does get better! The game from level 1-10 is nothing special and boring by a lot of peoples' standards; however, once you start morphing abilities, fill up your ability bar, and finally unlock weapon switch (level 15), the game is a ton of fun. Not to mention the PvP is great!
Kudos to those giving out their friend keys.I played the last beta weekend that was up and enjoyed what I saw. The issue with the UI freezing that weekend was a real PITA and did make it annoying off and on. I'm a crafter-centric person in MMOs, like the way it works in the game so far.
Cyrodill is the only place to PvP. Having said that, it is MASSIVE.
That's disappointing. So it's RvRvR basically.

Sorry for all the questions.
But how 'sandboxy' is ESO, it doesn't seem to be a super themepark MMO like other MMO's have been?
Looks like you have a lot of freedom. I know it has quests, Dungeons and what not, but it kinda seems more like EQ1 than WoW.
Here's the big problem with the game -- it's as 'sandboxy' or 'themeparky' as you make it, but the game's starter zones condition you to play it as a themepark.
What I mean is, the most efficient way to level and progress is from just clearing each zone by running quest chain after quest chain. This makes the game feel very linear; however, you are still free to go to any zone and do any content, you will just have to deal with higher level monsters along the way. From what I hear, if you are really skilled, you can complete the higher level content even at a low level, but I don't have first-hand experience to test that.
So is end game just cydril and raiding like other MMO's?

I can't decide if I want to try this out again or not. I almost don't want to get my hopes up and delve out $60 a month to later be disappointed.
Not exactly, no, but we're not allowed to share fully detailed info and such yet about that.
Well its $15 a month...
imagine paying $60/mo for an MMO![]()
Yeah, no one would do it. I wouldn't do it for virtual heads to come out of the screen, suck me off, then tuck me into bed.
On topic though, going to jump in with the beta+friend thing this weekend to give it another try and see if I still like it.
