ACG and SkillUp both liked what they saw. Haters are gonna have to deal with a good Ubisoft game.
Also worth mentioning ACG says the open world aspect is toned down compared to other Ubisoft games and it focuses more on a linear story.
 
Looks good and curious as to what the average game play length will be. Won't be buying it on day one as I'm cheap, lol.

I mean, that's the thing with Ubisoft - most of their big-budget titles aren't actually bad, they're just sort of formulaic and mediocre in a lot of ways. You can still end up getting a lot of playtime out of them, for better or worse.
 
I'm guessing the game is going to be bundled with one of the GPU manufacturers

Some are fiercely against anything but Stream but frankly I never understood it beyond a very minor annoyance. I click the y launcher in my task bar instead of the x launcher to play a game. Big deal.

I don't even use the launchers except when first downloading my game. From then on I just click the desktop shortcut or type the first few letters into the start menu for the game to pop up. My launchers are always running so updates keep up. :)

You figure Steam is composed of degrenrates from all over the world but won't admit it. I still hang out there for comedy alone. UBI connect is pretty awkward it's more about their Storefront then the games in your Library. I'll pick up the game on Epic and download it on UBi Connect.

Yeah I don’t care if the character is female or male. All I care about is if the game has a good story good progression, and runs well and smooth and keeps me invested. I actually loved Jedi survivor, problem was it ran terrible at first.

And of course top notch graphics, but that’s the pc snob in me lol
 
the people complaining the loudest about ugly looking characters or Sweet Baby or DEI etc are the ones that don't play the games to begin with...they just like to talk about the controversies pretending that it effects their actual interest in playing the games

I prefer attractive characters. Especially if I have to see them in dozens of cut scenes and in the gameplay. I can see clearly that she's crafted to not offend the blue haired land whales. That alone isn't going to stop me from playing the game just to be clear, but this kind of design choice is a red flag that indicates that the game will likely be a shit show. But then again, I could be wrong. I'll look at some gameplay videos and maybe a couple of reviews and make the decision to buy the game or not.

They made the default female protagonist in Mass Effect Andromeda ugly in the day one patch and I thought the game was better than it gets credit for.

seems like female video game characters get more flak for their appearance...Geralt was not beautiful by traditional standards yet that didn't stop people from loving those games...in a lot of RPG's when given the option to create their own characters a lot of people purposely uglify their characters...Japanese developers seem to overly sexualize their female protagonists (Stellar Blade)...video games throughout history have not been about having the most beautiful looking lead characters...that seems to be a recent phenomenon

Where are you getting that from? While the Japanese may have sexualized them more, characters both male and female are generally attractive or created to be visually appealing until very recently with a few rare exceptions here and there.

It's not a big deal on PC, but if I want to play on Steam Deck then it's annoying to try to use other launchers. Plus, I don't need or want 10 different launchers installed on my machine...

Steam deck is pretty niche. As far as a regular windows machine, I can spare the whopping 500mb steam, ea, ubi, and epic combined take in ram out of my 64gb without a care, as can most people. :)

Usually for comedy purposes. Do we really want ultra realism in art in every aspect at all times? People want to see the ideal of themselves in their entertainment.

Also, as I said earlier I wouldn't be surprised this is somewhat the engine design problems. The character faces in the Division games are not great, the female ones especially are bad. The devs for Outlaws are the one's who did the Division games.

unless you're playing a lot of 3rd person games you don't even see your character's face for most of the game...even with 3rd person you're still mostly looking at their back...cutscenes are where you mostly see your character's face...so it shouldn't matter too much what they look like

even in Dark Souls types of games you only really see your character clearly in the character creation menu...otherwise things like their armor and weapons are more important

What sort of game length are you targeting for Star Wars Outlaws?

It's a full-bodied single-player action-adventure experience that is very scalable with how much time you invest into exploring the world that we prepared for you. So, I'd say it at least doubles the duration of playing just the campaign part if you engage with everything else
