RDR2 is really one of those games that deserves better than to sit in my Steam library unplayed isn't it? damnit....
RDR2 and Witcher 3 are the top 2 games on my "I should finish these but never will" list.RDR2 is really one of those games that deserves better than to sit in my Steam library unplayed isn't it? damnit....
Funny enough, RDR2 requires almost zero aiming. In fact, it's borderline impossible to play with a pad if you try. The key is not to hold down the "aim" button but to simply tap it and lock on to enemies.I picked this up on PC awhile back and just started playing it again. Performance seems like it could be better considering how the game looks (overall very good, some textures and models fairly dated though) but I'm enjoying it. Nice to be able to use a mouse and keyboard, first playthrough was on PS4 and I hate using the controller for games like this where you need to aim.
yup, tap, shoot, tap, shoot, tap, shoot. only issues i have with performance is stutter cut scenes that lots seem to have. game play is smooth.Funny enough, RDR2 requires almost zero aiming. PC performance has improved, but (like all Rockstar titles) still occasionally bottoms out no matter what hardware you have. That's been a hallmark of theirs going back to GTA3.
That is good to know, I thought I was just not able to play that game with the controller because of this.Funny enough, RDR2 requires almost zero aiming. Is this just a console thing, or does it work like that on PC too?yup, tap, shoot, tap, shoot, tap, shoot. only issues i have with performance is stutter cut scenes that lots seem to have. game play is smooth.
Yeah, the auto-aim is pretty cheaty feeling, possibly why I don't like using it. Sure, it makes it playable on a controller, but I would rather actually aim and use a mouse. *shrug*Funny enough, RDR2 requires almost zero aiming. pc too, i use a xb1 controller. you still need to be point in their general direction before tapping LT and it wont lock head shots, you have to adjust for those. Is this just a console thing, or does it work like that on PC too?
It's more that there's a really long intro sequence before you can actually start doing open world stuff.I bought this during the recent Steam Winter sale and will play it eventually but I hear it's a really slow game (especially the beginning) with a lot of walking back and forth which is turning me off from playing it right away...I need to be in the right mood to get into this especially being that it's a crazy long game as well
I get a generic broken link picture when I click that.I need a bit of an opinion on the Legend of the East satchel - is that a wolf or bear face on it?
Big Image
Dang it.. Ok.. fixed the link.I get a generic broken link picture when I click that.

Thoughts on sand?Ah man it's one of those illusions, this or that. Thought bear at first but seeing wolf now.
I enjoyed RDR2 but the bugs made me take a break forever... riding into town and having an NPC stumble into my horse and shoot me triggering a damn manhunt on me, I slaughtered them all. Not just the men but the women and children too

thats how i roll. first town i hit in my current replay had that happen but someone got a lucky headshot on me. only cost me $300...riding into town and having an NPC stumble into my horse and shoot me triggering a damn manhunt on me, I slaughtered them all. It's not the mouse and keyboard, it's Rockstar's devotion to "realistic movement", meaning it takes forever for your character and the horse to turn, or really do anything.I've started a playthrough. Graphics are wonderful for a game with a few years on it. Controlling my horse seems a little off at least with the mouse and KB.
Still way better than The Witcher 3’s horse controls.I've started a playthrough. Graphics are wonderful for a game with a few years on it. Controlling my horse seems a little off at least with the mouse and KB.
its not dlss doing it, it looks like shit on my system too and soft shadows makes it worse and grainy to boot. Why does DLSS look so fucking awful in this? The hair and other alpha transparency stuff looks absolutely atrociously bad.

its one of the other effect that i havent looked to hard for. if i brush my horse i can see weird streaks appear/disappear as the brush goes over the mane.
I remember on the PS4, the best horse was some white Arabian you had to find and tame up in the mountains.Agreed it's a pretty game. I am heading into the Epilogue 2, approaching 200hours (dicked around a LOT in Chapter 3), and about 89% completion. The horse manes are pretty bad, but not that I care a whole mess. Painfully missing one trinket on my page 2 of 4 (regular PC).. I'll need to figure out what that is.
Also I need to find a better horse. Rachel is being a PITA and I am tired of the back talk.
Yeah the one in the snow, right. I remember doing that. I need to finish this bad boy.I remember on the PS4, the best horse was some white Arabian you had to find and tame up in the mountains.
On my third playthrough and I finally bothered to catch that horse. Great horse, but her white coat shows dirt really easily (if you care about such a thing - can’t believe I’m talking about this in reference to a video game). Stirrups and saddles bought at the stable also help with stamina drain and regeneration.I remember on the PS4, the best horse was some white Arabian you had to find and tame up in the mountains.
