Post Your Connection Speed

Cogent is an awesome ISP- my 5th circuit with them. They rock. Impeccable uptime and support.

This 1Gb connection was about the same price at the 100Mb connection I had at my old building. Exceptionally competitive on pricing if you are in one of their lit buildings.

Connection is: 75/15 So upload is kinda limited, though I haven't rebooted my router in a few months.

Last week I was on the 20/2 plan. I find out this week I got a free upgrade to the 60/5 plan. One of the first time's TWC hasn't pissed me off.

Should be 100Mbit down, 40Mbit up (VDSL2 vectoring), but this test doesn't seem to be too great in Germany. Modem syncs with 109Mbit down and 42Mbit up, firewall is handling that load pretty good.

Sub is 50/5. I would like to get a bettter up but can't really complain. Some nice speeds outside my area.

It gets a lot worse in high traffic times and when it rains on the bad cable.
They don't care about you being a retired employee, either. This The 33542 area about thirty miles above Tampa

I just decided to download the Batman Arkham Knight game I got free with a video card to test outth e bugs for myself.

I guess I shouldn't complain so much about Verizon after all.

Sustained 18MB/s for the entire 34GB download, which took approximately a half an hour.

Here's Steam with a gigabit connection:

Recent downgrade from 75/75 to 50/50 for fios. Results aren't bad at all and I honestly don't notice much of a difference unless I'm downloading BIG files:

Edit... Here's my old speeds:

I switched from FiOS to RCN...I now have much higher download speeds but much lower upload speeds...used to have 50/50 symmetrical with FiOS

My ISP just added an unlimited data cap for $5 a month. I stream everything so I was running right up to my grandfathered in 550GB Cap. so that $5 isn't much and is well worth it.

I would kill for that upload!

That's why I ditched Comcast as soon as I could get fios... 5 years strong and no signs of ever going with another isp.

Fios is also SOLID. I've never had any down time other than a week long power outage after Sandy hit the east coast.
