That's a nice looking box. Makes me wish I would have pushed a little harder to get one for my office.
i686 is just Pentium II and newer, so everything that's not x86_64 basically. Upgrade of the i386 (i.e. based on the Intel 386).
I though that was i586, because I remember seeing i686 after x64 came out, but then again I was still new with computers back then
The P6 microarchitecture is the sixth generation Intel x86 microarchitecture, implemented by the Pentium Pro microprocessor that was introduced in November 1995. It is sometimes referred to as i686. It was succeeded by the NetBurst microarchitecture in 2000, but eventually revived in the Pentium M line of microprocessors. The successor to the Pentium M variant of the P6 microarchitecture is the Core microarchitecture.
I got to say! that is one of the most awesome box I've seen in a while!
The home network as it sits today, always seems to be changing...

Where is this at? looks like the biggest cisco lab/playground ever!
Issue i have with that AMD fan, is if the old one pulled its air in or pushed out from the side slot on the fan itself, how is this going to have enough clearance once you get the case on, to pull from the top?...did you check the height? (obviously i'm sure you have lol but just a thought)

It's cool to see how the actual vendor does their support pods and so forth. I just wouldn't want to be in charge of asset management lol.
Its cool you guys are digging this stuff....I didn't realize how many people love this stuff as much as I do.
Come on man, this is [H]ardOCP! we LOVE anything tech here
still not quite sure what "TAC" stands forJudging by his name I'd say he's Cisco TAC in RTP.

RTP = Research Triangle Park correct?
Technical Assistance Center, I believe.
They're the people who figure something out/explain it when you call support with a serious question.
