• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Not much I can do about most of the systems if the power goes out. Sometimes they come back on themselves, sometimes they don't. If they come back on I can remote into them and get them back running, but if they dont come back on or get stuck in the BIOS upon power being restored not much I can do.

I'm in the Top 5 computers at PrimeGrid. 5th position! Based on recent average credit of course....:D

I'm seeing 3 million for today. Numbers lower than they could be, since the BOINC manager stopped sending work to my second GPU, and I lost 8 hours on it.

Off we go with the FB Sprint. Looks like GC may lose seven points in this sprint.

Spoke too soon. GC just moved to number one spot. Fueled by the crypto power.

Unless they're doing some serious bunkering we should win this one easily it seems.

How are you creating the account? From within BAM? From within BOINC Manager? or from the website itself?

Also, YoYo mentioned in the forums that there may not be enough of the smaller work units. So, if 4t, 8t, and 16t ends up being the only thing with work, that will cut down tremendously the amount of users that can help out.

I'm doing it through the BOINC client. Here's what its showing me

Good news.

Gridcoin is currently 2nd place in their sprint. Looks like we might gain some points on them for the Sprint.

I was a bit early in my prediction but credit goes to SUSA.

Was trying to find a marathon project that we're not #1 in and chose LHC@home. Pointed 44 cores at it running 0000-0600 every day. Is there something else I should be focusing on? Splitting up projects more? Or choosing projects with less [H] representation?

What work are your CPUs doing? We need some help in WCG to take back 1st place we lost last month. Any CPU will help us.

Mining (assuming profitable) means more money to put towards DC...lol.

Snoozing BOINC while working on photo albums appears to not help our PrimeGrid production numbers. Down 500k whole points for each of yesterday and today.:turtle:

Sorry Gents, Work has taken over life for now. 50-60 hour weeks and out of state.

Hope that will change in a month or so.

Just leave the rigs chugging along in a set and forget state for a bit if you need.

FB Sprint is Leiden Classical. Of all the sprint projects to choose from.... :(

BOINC Manager just stopped running all my GPU tasks because it pulled in a bunch of CPU tasks with a 2 day earlier deadline. These are baby cpu tasks that take 1 hour each, but would have kept being pulled in, so maybe it would have put my GPU tasks on hold for a day. So ridiculous.

BOINC Manager will be my first foray back into the programming world. Checkbox, always run GPU tasks. Yes please. I'm pretty sure it is open source, will check tonight. Maybe the newest BETA builds have it? I haven't downloaded the newest build yet.

MN Scout , BOINC by design gives priority to CPU tasks over GPU. So, if you are to re-code it get ready for a large endeavor. Also get on the BOINC forums and offer your services and they will point you to the right people for helping out. It is all volunteer developed now. And yes, it is open source.

pututu, Yeah...not a fan but it is on the list. So, eventually it must be done...

So, eventually it must be done...
There are still some very good decent projects in the "List of selectable projects for a sprint"
Hopefully HardOCPTest donor will see a big jump in credits

This project should be suspended as quake network got ... no ability to create new account should lead to disqualification. #bad

I for one am glad PrimeGrid has not been chosen. IMO it is over challenged as is. They have 8 through the year as a part of their challenge series and usually at least 1 more as part of their PRP. Then you have every other year in the Pentathlon.
GPUGrid runs out of work regularly without a challenge and thus not really suitable from a reliability standpoint.
BURP doesn't always have work.
Cosmology would be fine.
DENIS just depends on the day. When it works, it is great.
Enigma is normally pretty good.
FiND is pretty much dead
Leiden runs solid but as mentioned, should be pulled. I have argued for years that there needs to be a mechanism to handle these issues fairly.
Primaboinca should also get pulled as they are not always quick to respond for giving out the invite code. And that is IF they reply at all.
The dDM-Project has proven to NOT be able to handle the load of a challenge and is quite frankly poorly ran.
SRBase run great now as long as they are aware of the challenge early enough to guarantee the work units for it.
TN-Grid ran fine the last I checked but I've been mostly absent on it this year.
Universe typically runs great but it is another project that is great when it works but typically nose dives when you need it...
VGTU has been solid
WEP-M+2 is a terrible project in my eyes. The science is a waste of resources and they refuse to support Windows as it is a hidden agenda of the project to support MacOS and Linux.

So out of that list, I would gladly sign off on maybe 7 (depending on the daily gamble) total as being truly worthy of challenges. And even within that 7, I'm iffy on a few due to history, upgrading, and so forth. But that is just my $.02.

Next year there may be a better selection as there have been a hand full of projects come on board that seem to be running stable.

And we got the prime position in PrimeGrid ! Good job together ... should leave it for few days to build a buffer ...

Sick job you all! That was a huge surge of points. :wideyed:

This table is on the PrimeGrid front page under all the announcements.

I have my dual e5-2670 and a 6850k running for 6 hours a day on WCG now. The scheduling tool is awesome. Are we gaining some ground?

Just a heads up workshop35 to let you know you're crunching for team [H]ard|OCP rather than HardOCP. It's understandable as the former is the correct team name for almost everything apart from WCG.

Yeah, that's the tricky part ... I always reconfirmed the active members before joining a new project and assig to a team. And give "[H" as first search. Didn't yet failed
