Fallout 4

I have the game, but the learning curve seems immense. I have the attention span of a gnat.

Thanks, dude. The last achievement, Eye on the Prize, is time consuming. Play arcade games, win tickets, redeem, rinse and repeat. I think I have a full day of playing the target practice game alone.

Jesus.

LOL!

Congrats man..

Learning curve isn't all that bad. It is basically a first person shooter. When setting to survival difficulty then it becomes a matter of remembering recipes for cooking healing chems and such.

Finally.

https://bethesda.net/en/article/1flg4XQFe4UcUGSCqe4k2S/fallout-4-game-of-the-year-edition

Return to the Wasteland on September 26 with Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition. With all the latest gameplay updates (including Survival mode), graphical enhancements, the ability to play Mods for free on PC and consoles, plus all official add-ons included, this is the ultimate way to experience the award-winning post-nuclear adventure from Bethesda Game Studios.

Finally! Dicks waited long enough lol

It's actually not that bad as long as you know where to put your stat/perk points etc.

But, I have endured a couple of cruel deaths where I have to stand up, walk-around, curse like a sailor, and play something else for a couple days heh

Is Creation Club paid mods?

No. Mods will remain a free and open system where anyone can create and share what they’d like. Also, we won’t allow any existing mods to be retrofitted into Creation Club, it must all be original content.
But 5 of the 8 things (not counting the 4 reskins) in their post are clones of existing content (links taken from comments on the Steam post).

Chinese Stealth Armor: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20959/

Homemade Shotgun: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10826/

Prototype Gauss Rifle: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8104/

Modern Furniture Workshop Pack: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9463/

Hellfire Power Armor: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26251/

So much for "all original content only," huh Bethesda?

Yep, so does Place Everywhere. Glad I have completed the Steam Achievements so there will be one less F4SE DLL to contend with (achievements.dll).

Edit: Now the PipBoy app doesn't connect since the update.

Edit 2: Damn launcher reset settings No wonder FPS tanked and features don't work. Jeebus.

Edit 3: Back to normal except for F4SE based .dlls. I'll be a happy camper when F4SE is updated since I have to have Place Everywhere in order to finish the Abernathy Farms structure.

Good grief. Now F4SE has to be updated because of this.

That update sure wasn't worth it. I emailed the SE guys yesterday about this although it probably wasn't necessary.

SE guys are working on an update. Only middle of the week so I wouldn't expect a new version until this weekend.

Drat. I was in the middle of some things. ;)

I know that Skyrim Special Edition SE has been a real challenge. I wonder if they will ever be able to do it?

All Creation Club mods are downloaded to your PC in the update. We're just paying for the .esp to be able to use them in the game :ROFLMAO:. Which, with the mod tools freely available, anyone can add these mods to the game without paying anything . And a certain subreddit already has a link to download the .esl files to enable them, anyway.

The bigger concern is, if they will continue to force people to download all the Creation Club mods, this will become an unnecessary strain on your drive space. The poor console users .

Was this all just a joke by Bethesda?

Something more serious: someone commented that their load order was put in alphabetical order after the update was installed, so be sure to also check your load orders.

This seems like it should be bigger news than it currently is.

I was wondering why I got a 2.1gb download for FO4 yesterday wth lol. Bethesda needs to get their act together, they already did enough damage to the Fallout series. I'll probably uninstall the game for now, I don't even play it much and rather not just have random crap downloading that I don't use.

I'd pay a little money for a fully fixed Creation Kit and Modders Tools. These were promised and never delivered (I'm pretty sure?)

Wish they'd finish patching the damn game so all the mods can catch up. That's the nice thing about Skyrim, everything works (minus the Special Edition or whatever).

They were. This has been abandonware since Far Harbor dropped until someone in corporate got a burr up their butts for this modding nonsense.

I expect this to be the end of the road. I'm going to disable updates on Steam for this game just to be sure in case they decide to "patch and update" this modding setup of theirs that no one gives a crap about.

Oh look... I don't have that option on Steam any more. Awesome.

Totally not worth it.

F4SE has been updated to support the latest FO4 version.

http://f4se.silverlock.org/

You sure?

That looks the same and I even downloaded it and installed it to be sure. Still wants a newer version. So not yet...at least for me here???

Yes, positive. I'm using it right now. Should be showing 1.10.20, build 0.5.0. If you are not seeing it then clear your browser cache.

Sounds like the requirement of forcing everyone to download all the Creation Club mods was their way of getting around the restrictions on Playstation Network? Their FAQ says they are "working on solutions that would not require Creation Club archives to be part of the game’s patch."

https://bethesda.net/community/topic/87400/creation-club-faq

Why did Bethesda think this would be okay with the community? Can't wait for the next Creation Club update that will force me to download another 2+ GB of stuff that I will never use...

You're not the only one. FPS in a few main city areas has gone down to initial game release FPS which was pitiful.

Edit: Not only that but I'm getting random FPS crawls in areas which didn't have that issue until after this latest patch. Digging into the issue right now.

AceGoober

It's up!

I'll have to go through my mods and see what else has to get dealt with.

What settings got changed here? I notice my fps has gone done as well and nothing stands out to me as I'm looking over the settings.

Glad it's not just me. I can't imagine what could have changed. Let us know what you find out.

Partial info: what I've found out so far is that disconnecting from the internet improved FPS by 3-8 frames. Still looking into the issue.

Edit: Confirmed - Fallout4.exe is calling home.

Glad it's not just me. I can't imagine what could have changed. Let us know what you find out.
