And his reviews suck out loud. Yes, all opinion is subjective, blah^3. But I don't feel any of these reviews are reliable or credible.

There is a complete Joystick playlist with unboxing, pricing, quality, integration with Track-Ir and real life play and feel.
Three important news bits:
-after 11/22, you will no longer be able to buy into the Beta test.
-the Preview Build (aka "Gamma") releases on 11/22 to existing Alpha/Beta backers.
-A big premiere event is slated for Saturday 11/22 at the Imperial War Museum Duxford in Cambridgeshire. (Britain's largest aviation museum) Twitch carries the stream.
and
-the final game launches on 12/16
Question for those of you who have been playing it: is a joystick necessary, or is keyboard and mouse just fine? Is XBox 360 Controller support a thing or would it be totally wrong?
Does anyone know if you can still get into gamma phase by pre-ordering? I was going to a few weeks ago but decided not to with no firm release date yet.
Oh dear.the final game launches on 12/16
link about the gamma build on the 22?

So for someone that wants to jump into Elite Dangerous and have a really great controls setup that fully integrates with and excels as to use within ED, what is recommended more:
Option 1: Saitek X52 Pro Flight Controller (Stick and Throttle)
Option 2: Thrustmaster Warthog (Stick and Throttle) + separate Rudder Pedals
This is roughly a $160 option vs $500+ option. Financials aside, I'm thinking that the need to incorporate rudder pedals (the warthog's stick doesn't do Yaw) is somewhat of a drawback for option #2. I realize that the Warthog stick is a much beefier solution and is nice and heavy with better build quality... but all that aside, which will give better in-game play performance and accuracy? Is the Warthog really any better on this front?
With the resurgence of interest in space combat/sim type games (like Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous on the horizon) coupled with much more immersive 3D display tech (especially once the Oculus Rift comes out as a commercial product), I can see there will be a large demand/need for high-end HOTAS type gear for hardcore PC gamers.
It's still not clear if pre-orders get into gamma, I've been keeping an eye on the ED forums for an official word.
i find i dont use yaw much in this game
Maybe to boost population in a year, when planetary landing is available. 30% is a big cut? They will more likely sell it on consoles and go via word of mouth.

And 70% of nothing is an even bigger cut, for all the lost sales and lack of exposure that they miss out on by not putting it on the biggest distribution platform.
And consoles? Dats a gud vun
