The Dark Souls 2 DLC was a slog and I hated every second of it.Nooooo!...this DLC will be better than most full games...From Software never disappoints

And I don't agree with those people. I could tolerate Sunken King, but Old Iron King has me wanting it to end by the time I'm a third of the way through it, and I don't ever want to do Ivory King again.huh?...the Dark Souls 2 DLC totally redeemed the game and was the best part...I think most people think that...the base game was a bit lackluster but the 3-part DLC was amazing

It’s interesting sometimes, going back and re-reading the original post… Great Rune! Just doesn’t have the same ring as Elden Ring.Back in March, a rumor regarding a new RPG developed by From Software with George RR Martin consulting/writing started circulating online....while it’s no surprise that the developer is working on a new game, the fact that this game is allegedly written by A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R Martin made the rumor quite noteworthy...and it seems like this game is indeed real and will be announced soon
A post on 4Chan shared more details on this game, which is apparently going to be called Great Rune and it will have a Norse Mythology theme...the game is considered to be the true successor to the Dark Souls game, but it will bring some drastic changes to the formula...the game will apparently be announced during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference...

Has anyone started a new Elden Ring run in prep for the DLC? I started a new game. Don't plan on finishing it but it's a good opportunity to get used to the controls again
I’ve been playing like crazy in preparation for the DLC. I have a NG character on a mostly completionist run, map totally cleared out, and a NG+7 character around level 350 with two of every weapon, every spell, incantation, piece of armor etc. Going to play the DLC with the NG character first and then with the NG+7, it’ll be interesting to see how the difficulty scales.Has anyone started a new Elden Ring run in prep for the DLC? My preference for a melee only build is to focus on strength, endurance, and vigor, and to use a weapon that does high poise damage. My favorite early game weapon for this is the lordsworn greatsword, which you can get immediately. Grab a 100% physical damage negation shield and focus on guard counters and timed charged R2’s. If I was going to stick with that axe I would get a second one (can buy from twin maiden husks) to powerstance and focus on jump attacks.Do you have a good build for the standard battle axe? I'm a glutton for punishment with the souls type games and never do ranged or magic to cheese stuff.
Started a vagabond two weeks ago and 35hours in now, around level 80, made it to start of the land of the giants. I also have a old mage character at level 205, waiting for dlc in Mohgs roomHas anyone started a new Elden Ring run in prep for the DLC? I started a new game. I'm still blown away by the complexity of Stormveil Castle. The sheer amount of paths, verticality, and the interconnectedness of it all. It's just wild. I feel like you can spend an easy 10 hours in Stormveil alone.
I'm pumped. Took off Thursday through Monday so I could no life this.
Wake up at 4AM that day, at that time tell whoever you're going with you need to go to the ER. Then drive off in your car, find a park, run 3 miles, get a nice sweat going. Return home, say you have the tarnished flu and that they should stay away from you for the weekend.I just realized I already had plans for the 21st, even though I neglected to take the day off and only did so for the DLC.. A damn Janet Jackson concert in Cincinnati I don't even wanna go to! FUCK
Need to install to a SSD for decryption to go faster. One of the cases where a Gen4 vs. Gen3 NVME drive would make a big difference. No pre-load for PC? Not that I really care. Last time I tried to do a pre-load it took longer to unlock it than it would have to just download it at release.
Yeah, at that time I had a 5900X and a WD Black Gen4 NVME. Still took way longer to decrypt than my then 500Mbps connection would take to download.Need to install to a SSD for decryption to go faster. One of the cases where a Gen4 vs. Gen3 NVME drive would make a big difference.
Personally, for me it's faster to download the game on launch day than let my system decrypt a pre-load.Yeah, at that time I had a 5900X and a WD Black Gen4 NVME. Still took way longer to decrypt than my then 500Mbps connection would take to download.
