RJayW has written a great Crysis 2 Config Program.
Here is the link to the Steam forum where they discuss it, with the first post having the download link.

Basically it creates a batch file which you use to launch the Crysis 2 PC Demo, with the options you want.
I've tried it and it works great. I think an FOV of 70 is about right for me at 5164X1050 resolution.
I found it made a huge difference being able turn off mouse acceleration and change the zoom key to a toggle.
Crysis 2 Demo Config lets you choose the following options:
(0 is off 1 is on)
Controls:
Crouch Toggle - 0/1
Zoom Toggle - 0/1
Mouse Acceleration - 0/1
Mouse Sensitivity - numeric value plus option to Enable or use in game settings
Graphics:
Bloom/HDR - 0/1
Motion Blur - 0/1
Multi GPU - 0/1
Multi Core - 0/1
FOV - numeric value (I believe 60 is the game default)
FSAA - 0/1
UseEdgeAA - 0/1
Anisotropy - 1 to 16
TextureFilture - bilinear or trilinear
Shadows - 0/1
Sound:
Enable Player Hit Feedback - 0/1
Misc:
Skip Intro - 0/1
I found a post on inCrysis that sums up the game for me, although it misses a few key points (auto aim)
Haven't d/l this yet and probably won't. I have about zero interest in it. I knew when they released that first multiplayer vid some time ago that it was going to be nothing more than 'Call of Halo' part 8. I feel reassured, as well as disappointed that I was right.
flop!
well, Halo seems to do well in competitive leauges, likely due to subjectively better netcode than CoD series and a lack of absolute BS perks (not all are crap) and killstreaks (and in general, fewer random deaths, IMHO).
This may very well be the "full" version - that is, there is only DX9 support.
If it's released with DX9 only, it's worth $14.99 max. I can care less about a DX10/11 patch, the game would be a half-ass port from the beginning.
Never heard of buying unfinished cars, products etc. so why should we buy an unfinished game."Buy the car now and we'll send the steering wheel in 2-4 weeks."
I'll wait for the mod community to turn it into a real game, if they allow it since the config files are encrypted.

UT3 post-patch was fairly good though. Still, it wasn't a simple renderer swap: they changed quite a lot of shit and added a fair amount of content.Anyone remember how badly UT3 failed, then a patch came along? It's happening again.
Yeah, I think that was the point though, sadly. The game was quite good after the Black Edition patch, but by that point the community was barely alive.UT3 post-patch was fairly good though. One blessing of the leaked beta is that supposedly, there were a bunch of dev files and tools in the image or unfinished items that might give modders direction on how to go about fixing the game if it needs to come to that.
In the beta, people couldn't change their control config but there were unencrypted default versions of the config files inside one of the resource pak archives. You oould probably extract them and force the game to load them at startup or via console instead.
Also, the game runs a lot worse than Crysis while managing to not look any better. I can excuse that seeing as it's a beta and *could* be improved in the final version, but the balancing issue just seems like a total ball-drop.
EDIT: Okay, to be fair, I am running an SLI setup and didn't install the new profile, so that might be part of the performance issues. I'll report back.
EDIT2: Yeah, the SLI profile helped immensely. Can now play at max res on Hardcore and maintain a decent (albiet not spectacular) framerate. The team auto-balancing issues are pretty frustrating still, though. Overall this feels very generic, too, like any other modern MP FPS.
The game really isn't all that intensive at all, I was playing on hardcore at 1920x1080 on a lowly GTX460 768mb and it was smooth at just over 30fps. I might try advanced and see what its like if I can be bothered playing it again.
To be fair to Crytek, Crysis 1 and Crysis Wars had "non-standard" MP games which really weren't popular. You can't blame them for going the COD route, unfortunately they dont pull it off as well as, well, CODAlso the kill streaks are just stupid, its basically like saying "we aren't even trying, this is a blatant copy of COD". I also think the maps are terrible. Like some bad community made map that you play once and never play again, not something you want to be in the core game.
I believe Advanced is one step below Hardcore, so if you already consider it smooth there's no reason to downgrade.
DAMN this demo download was the fastest thing I ever downloaded (2400.00 kbs)
I got crossfire working. Rename the exe file to Fear. I went from average of 35fps to 58fps. The more I play it, and unlock stuff, the more it grows on me.
Thanks. I'll need to DL a non-Steam version to test it out.
E: Uh yeah, that didn't do anything other than completely mess up the graphics for me. Latest driver and CAP.
Using 11.2 for drivers and CAP. What did it mess up?
The entire world became translucent or transparent. Basically most of the art assets went MIA.
e: Never mind. The issue was either that I had supersampling forced or that the latest CAP wasn't actually installed. I installed the driver set that was supposed to include the CAP but apparently it never installed.
Runs at about 60 FPS now in Hardcore mode at 2500x1600 no AA. About 10 FPS better than Crysis Warhead. That's the building level. More like 45 FPS in the prettier level. In either case, it still doesn't feel smooth. Then again, Crysis games in my experience are not smooth with multi-GPU setups. CF seems to be worse than SLI though.
At any rate, the graphics are not that impressive. I will reiterate that it just looks like COD on steroids. Maybe it was too much of a transition from Crytek to go from jungles to concrete, given how mediocre the non-jungle environments looked in the earlier Crysis games.
I was much, much more impressed at the beauty of Assassins' Creed Brotherhood on the 360 (viewed at appropriate distance to minimize perception of aliasing) than what's on offer in this game.
Cancelled pre-order on Steam. Sorry, I will not play a game that has "gamepad setup" in the config menu.Among its many problems.
