Infantry? Mechanized infantry? Cavalry? I used the term combat arms specifically. I JUST learned thanks to your retort that the Soviets had "2,484 soviet female snipers" First I had heard of this. So that does change things. However that is a tiny %. But to my point they weren't running around with the grunts. They most likely performed overwatch, etc.
Pilots, truck drivers, nurses, etc don't count as combat arms. That was my original point.
I learned something today. I like that. Thank you for your good retort.

This was the source of a large learning curve for me in BF2 days. But, I think it will make BF5 a deeper experience. It forces you to gain more of a "feel" for the environment and gameplay presented to you. Rather than simply following around orange dots like a kitten.
Once I "broke through" so to speak, with BF2, I remember feeling an internal dialogue of "ah ha" and then "OMG this is amazing".
Bf2/2142 it served a great purpose. Spotting helped win games. Remember the commander role? It was so valuable and doing it wellbwas awesome.
Its all a dumbed down mess now.
