Anyone got a picture of the development team?
Your question made me curious so I googled the 4 studies that are under the new Battlefield Studios umbrella.

😨 I saw a septum ring. I saw purple hair. I saw the words "safe space" and "inclusivity."

RIP Battlefield 6, we hardly knew ye.

Battlefield died after Bad Company 2.

LOL what?

BC2 isn't even like a Battlefield game. BF is about HUGE outdoor maps, with tons of vehicles like tanks and helicopters all going at it with 64 v 64 players going to eat for an objective.

BC is like outdated stupid Call of Duty lame arcade games.

No way bro, BF3 and BF4 are far better than BC2
Hard disagree. BF3 with all the OP unlocks sucked, and I really wanted to like it.

Then it died after BF2.

Comparing BF1942 and BF2 to BF3 and beyond is like a completely different franchise.

There weren't any OP unlocks but some weapons were generally better but that is true in most games like classic Counter Strike, or even BC2. BC2 was nice in that it improved some things like making vehicles feel like they had traction rather than floating unlike prior BF games. Otherwise BF3 was better in every way.

I distinctly remember the IR sight being extremely powerful and it required you to either grind a bunch to unlock, or just pay real money to pay for unlocks. Ruined the experience for me.

It's possible they changed it later but I played on release and it soured the entire game for me.

Has anybody seen what melee is like in BF6 yet? I wonder if we'll be able to take tags again?

NOTE: I was the ahole RECON player that would sneak behind the enemy on a BF3/4 rush map, drop a spawn beacon and attack from behind with constant knife attacks taking tags... those were the days... :ninja:

I hope the Tunguska AA is back and is still the divine hand of God itself.

Thing did it all. Most busted ass land vehicle by far. The secret to the AA cannon was to just keep leading further on the target until you saw hit markers.

Once you start getting hit markers, congrats you have the perfect distance - whatever you're shooting at is about to be dead in the next 2 seconds. Enjoy people bitching that you've shot their jet down with just the cannon for the 5th time.

The AA missiles were practically just a distraction. The cannon smote people.

They really just need to go back in time and create the old gameplay but with the new tech. We need to go back to having to run to Vehicles and Jets instead of just spawning in them and then being able to attach c4 to a jet that somebody beat you to and detonate right after they take off. Also, we need to be able to take off from runways and carriers instead of just spawning in the air. Also bring back the commander. the dumbing down of gameplay is what has ruined this series.

Hold up.. you spawn in the jet, and in the air?

Yes, in 2042 when you select the jet from the map spawn menu you just immediately enter the aircraft in the air already piloting the aircraft. I think they have actually done this since bf3/4 to supposedly prevent spawn camping. I hate it though and preferred all the hijinks you could do in bf2.

Be curious to see if they bring back a server browser or not or if once again it will be like bf2042. I still have gamepass so I will just wait until it hits there unless something really changes with the game.

EDIT: No server browser except in Portal so gamepass it is.

I played 1942/DC and bf2 so much back in the day, I bought 3 and played a couple rounds and couldn't stand it. Haven't played a bf game since. It's a shame what the series has become

BF3/4 you spawned at air fields, at last for most maps. Some modes made you spawn in the air but those were the gimmick modes.

I like the Bradley. Hoping we get tracked and wheeled IFVs.

They're already showing off red camo skins for pre-order, which don't look awful but we know how it will go. Tip of the iceberg. I can seem them running the game into the ground for not hitting the unrealistic player counts and saying they can't afford to keep the game online even though it is AAA priced.

Looks amazing but don't see naval combat in the trailers. Maybe in a future expansion??

EDIT: The recommended system requirements looks very generous.

Nice fps drops in the trailer.

That being said, I'm glad they brought back the good bits of BFV's infantry combat, with the buttery smooth movement and traversal. It was my number one issue with BF 2042 tbh, it felt like shit on foot.

But I still have a bad feeling that this is being rushed out of the door... again.

Am I high or is the lighting meh

Like they've gone back to the heavy color grading so snow map is blue as shit and desert map is orange as shit. I don't like it.

Somehow I expected it to look better given that Battlefront looked like this a decade ago

you might be able to adjust color in the settings if it really bothers you.

You'll own nothing and like it.

I am perfectly fine with it due to the state of the industry and it isn't like you have any rights with digital copies anyway. They already bypass the first sale doctrine. Gaming hasn't been a serious hobby for me since BF4, which incidentally was the last game I bought, and it was already falling off my radar before then. I keep hoping for another video game crash just to reset it. Unfortunately as long as the mobile kiddies continue to buy $20 cosmetics the industry won't change. It isn't like I pay for gamepass either. It is something easy I can throw on a birthday or xmas wishlist so my family has something to actually give me.

From looking at the maps there doesn't look to be a naval combat (sad face) so I'm hoping there will be in a expansion. Still debating on pre-ordering too.

Wondering if some graphic settings are being disabled in the beta, though I doubt it. Even the install size looks quite small. Maybe it is really optimized which would be nice. Maybe there is an ultra high preset that isn't being included here for some reason.

Wouldn't want users to have any control over the experience, that way when EA decides to turn off the servers they can force everyone to migrate to the next game and claim there are no other options, e.g. Anthem.
