His point was, it's long before release so expect things to change.Alpha.
Yeah they tried that with ARC...Will there be dinosaurs this time? lol
When was the last time a Campaign was in Battlefield? I find that more interesting than butting heads with Randoms in MP.

All the BF campaigns other than BC2 were hot garbage.
I liked 3 & 1 myself. All the BF campaigns other than BC2 were hot garbage.
I didn't play it, but I heard hardline had a good campaign too, if you count that as a battlefield game. All the BF campaigns other than BC2 were hot garbage.
Really? I have it, but have never played it. Might have to check it out.I didn't play it, but I heard hardline had a good campaign too, if you count that as a battlefield game.![]()

BF4's campaign is peak. All the BF campaigns other than BC2 were hot garbage.
Ignoring for a second that your point has nothing to do with the quality of the SP campaigns, BC2 in fact had vehicles in MP.Bad Company is BF for players that get triggered by vehicles, mortars and fun. But that's my opinion too.
Anyways, I liked BF3 and 4's single player campaigns and played each twice.
Happy to agree to disagree. It was flash and no substance - terribly written, disjointed, bad enemy AI and a pale imitation of a CoD campaign.BF4's campaign is peak.

Same. I also am hoping for 64player rush. Combined arms gameplay is what really makes Battlefield special. So far so good! Def get BF4 vibes from it. I'm hoping to see moar vehicle gameplay tho.

Not exactly confidence inspiring if true...
Moving forward its clear EA is trying to capture the magic of BF3/4 with BF6
I'd be perfectly happy with $20-25 map/gun expansions like bf3/4 had. The less shiny pink rainbow unicorn cosmetics, and free to play style silliness, the better.I don't think that is true. In some ways they are but the extreme monetization and kiddie cosmetics will be there. They haven't denied it or even mentioned it once, which is extremely troubling. From the alpha we see the post BF4 style "squad" (actually a fire team lol) when loading into matches, the whole point of doing that is to show off your paid cosmetics and macro transactions to other players. This always includes weekends, seasons passes, or other things like gimmick game modes or challenges to compete which ruin the game while they are running. People will obsess over getting their new shiny thing or meeting a certain challenge and become very toxic in game and not play objectives or proper game modes.
I'd have no problem with a BF3/4 style paid season pass, with a large number of high quality maps and weapons added. I suppose a smaller selection and cheaper price would be better and putting more into the main game for free. Or just do a moderate expansion for $20 with lots and lots of guns. Either option is a lot better than the free to play BS we get in $70-80 AAA games (which aren't even free!) now days.
Why am I not shocked. The clowns at EA and DICE have repeatedly fucked up every new Battlefield game since BF4 and yet they still expect this one to gain 100 million players....delusional does not even begin to describe these morons.https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2025...ame-culture-clash-crunch-and-colossal-stakes/

I just can't believe their doing a BR mode. Like WTF?
Yeah I remember that all too well. DICE Sweden fucked it up so badly that DICE LA spent 12 months patching it into an acceptable state. I suppose BF4 is the last game that felt true to its roots, everything which followed was shit IMHO.Well BF4 had its share of fuckery as well, it had issues after launch for quite some time and dice even had to issue an apology for the state of the game.

It was called Brokenfield back then and if its broke then don't fix it, lol!

Remember all the marketing material for BF4 had the skyscraper fall in the siege of Shanghai map, by the time the game came out it was boring. Almost any social media post they had showed it falling. Was amusing when people finally played the map in the final version and realised the map played better when the big old map gimmick remained intact and didn't fall.![]()
Not me, I loved it and never got tired of seeing (and hearing!) that building come down!! Levelution!! The weather effects were cool, especially in Gulf of Oman. No dinosaurs tho

Articles like this reminds me why I'm glad I never got into game development for a career. F that.
Moving forward its clear EA is trying to capture the magic of BF3/4 with BF6 which is great however I wonder what the budget difference would have been if they just re-released BF4 with updated graphics & physics over developing a new game like BF6?
30 million was the most a BF game ever reached. They are smoking crack of they think they can reach 100 million.Well BF4 had its share of fuckery as well, it had issues after launch for quite some time and dice even had to issue an apology for the state of the game.
The 100 million player thing is LALA land, battlefield try as it will has never been that big of a game in player count terms.
I just can't believe their doing a BR mode. Like WTF? And of course it's been removed. Edit found another more in depth look.
