Not sure whats in the water today, but three servers in a row there were people blatantly hacking. Full auto fire with a machine gun from one end of a section to another constant headshot after headshot. Wonderful. All punkbuster servers too.

Haha, it was supposed to be a sarcastic post :p, like the one above. You obviously know that 600 is a high score.. it sounds like you were flaunting more than anything ;)
No for real, someone said that a lower skill number was good so for a while I thought the lower the better lol.

I see the [H] gaming servers which I actually ping well too, but there is no one on them so not much you can do there. It's hard getting them started up.

Post the IP and I'm sure people will go play in them

What good would the IP do you?
I find it much easier to search with game tracker than to use the BF-3 search....and the IP is unique where as most server names are not....so you get 100% accuracy when searching for a particular server.

When everyone keep getting returned to the desktop, does that mean it's the servers that keeps crashing?

We'd spend ten minutes getting everyone into the same game (party join is still broken, html is too unreliable!). Only to have everyone get dumped to the desktop a few minutes later.

I think it's server problems when you crash. I have filters to sort out servers and whenever I crash, I don't see that server with the filters anymore.

God one thing I hate about this game is that with a high skill the servers always put you on the team with the biggest newbs ever to play a game. There are teams no matter how good you are your going to lose 100%.

Being the underdog is cool but not 100% of the time.

From zh1nt0 regarding Skill Level:

• You gain/loose SL based on every confrontation with another player
• Killing a highly skilled enemy gives you more points than killing someone less skilled
• Points are not transferred from a player to another, they are simply added/subtracted based on the encounter and the SL of both parts (thus, after an encounter, one part may go up 50 points while the other loses only 20)
• The SL is used for matchmaking
Oh okay, that makes more sense. A few days ago I went 22-0 in an Operation Metro Conquest game and lost almost two hundred skill levels. I must've been killing nothing but nublets.

My skill is -77. :p But then again I'm the guy who actually emphasizes teamwork and helping my squadmates as opposed to playing this like another Call of Duty...

Yeah... between the IRNV spam and the fact that every server I find is massively teamstacked, I'm really starting to regret buying this game.

Thermals dont work like that in real life. They're more or less useless during the day, since EVERYTHING is ~+100F. At night, you get all kinds of weird shapes, and it takes a while to train yourself to discern between human-shaped objects from all angles and positions, and that spot where a goat just took a nice warm shit on the ground.

Anyway as with BC2, the hackers are already getting ridiculous, the Battlelog crap puts me on empty servers 70% of the time, and the ones I do actually connect to with players on it are massively teamstacked. And since there's no way to just load up a map with some bots and play DesertCombat style with a friend or three, I'm really, really regretting buying this game.

Anybody who didn't get a nostalgic smile on their face when they read that sentence has no business playing a Battlefield game. ;)

Team stacking is getting out of control in this game. No server balancing = fail.

Desert combat was an incredible mod. I'm sure I had 1000+ hours playing it.

Back in the day, a few friends and a few puffs, DC was incredible.

I still like bf3 and I still steamroll :p but damn there's nothing quite like DC. You can thank having bf2 because of DC. Same modders made bf2; who got shit on after the game was released. DC was unforgettable game.

DC was the best online FPS there ever was. If someone disagrees, they've never played it. Nothing quite like paradropping out of the AC-130 while it was flying upside down across the battlefield... Or driving the SCUD truck for an hour through the mountains to get behind the enemy base so we could shell it. :D

Been hard to keep playing this game. Honestly it just has so much wrong with it. Besides the obvious facts it is very slow and camper heavy, you have to grind on this game to get weapons or just fall way behind I still dont have IRNV. I went away for 4 days and came back to find people with automatic grenade launchers called shotguns. This is a great looking and sounding game but gameplay itself is totally lacking. I am still OK with my purchase but it is turning into one of those things I just use to show off my HTPC but dont actually care to play sort of like watching transformers movies, no plot, bad acting but good special effects and sound.

The BF3 community will not miss you.

I am really sick of aimbotters, I do not for a second believe a sniper head shot someone with an 8x+ scope while running, not to mention the kills coming pretty much one after another.

TBH I haven't even played the game in like 3 days...They still have some balance issues to fix and trying to play with spammers/hackers/stacked teams just isn't worth it.

I'd be interested in grinding some co-op if anyone is interested...My soldier name is MavericK99966.

Yeah they got some shit to fix and some serious balance issues to work out but I'm still having fun with it.

I think that is exactly right. It makes sense that once a good team gets going they would stick in it, while the losing team has high turnover as people come in then leave or switch teams as soon as they can.
Well, in fairness it is a little lame to join a game where you get stuck on the losing team and there's like 5 tickets left...racks it up as a loss on your record even though you never even spawned...That's happened to me a couple times now.

I'm having fun still but it's like, a declining level of fun and an increasing level of frustration. :p

I found this text on the web , a Sandbox ! not enough for me , no way EA will have info about my private stuff, I installed Origin ( like similar stuff ) on a dedicated PC and DSL connection

" What can Origin do ?:

-Scan your entire Computer (All HDD's, USB Sticks and other Save-media).
-Scan every Data / Registry / Memory / Last visited Websites
and more and Indexes that (Uploads lists with Checksums).
-Scan your Hardware (Last used IP's / MAC Address / HWID)
-Scan for Cracked Software/Games and even more so for EA Games!
-Uploads certain files if it suspects them to be leaked Games or Cracks to there Server
-Can take Screenshots!

That means that Origin is a Full Spyware!

If you want to be more Save, you can Setup a Sandbox to run it.
Here are some Tutorials where you can read what you need."

I get frustrated at times too but I would say it's still more fun than frustrating. Skyrim is keeping me pretty busy right now though.

Honestly...as long as they're not selling my info to 3rd parties then I couldnt give a flying fuck. I have nothing to hide and the most suspect of things theyll find is my fascination with internet porn and [H] :D

On top of that...if they happened across a pirated movie and informed the studio that created the movie, then i'd be entirely happy...lawsuit for invasion of privacy would allow me to live a much more comfortable life.

Indeed. Also, with the older infrared optics, if you use them too long you can damage your eyesight. Lots of false warm spots from animals, non-combatants, environmental variables, etc would go a long way in nerfing it as well. The blinding aspect too would be nice. Perhaps if you use it too much in a round them make the screen begin to darken, kinda like vehicles do when suffering lots of damage.

I quit playing at them because they seem to be laggier than most other servers. Especially the one that keeps switching between 48 and 64 players. (no, it is not my computer. I play just fine at my other regular servers)

Yah, that's happened to me several times as well. I think if you join within the last minute or two of a loss, it shouldn't count on your record. Same with a win.

Pretty sure the h servers, at least for conquest, don't start with just one player. That would help populate them.

Today I keep getting awesome killing sprees, then my game randomly closes with no error other than "Disconnected from server". It's really irritating.

I don't know if its an admin kicking me, or if it's BF3 fucking up.

edit: Nevermind, it appears in both instance the server actually crashed. It was two seperate servers as well which makes it strange lol.

I have important info about my customers, a list of all my TechNet keys and stuff like that, so I will certainly not allow EA employees to have a look at it. So for now the gaming PC ( 2 of them ) and the wife and kids pcs are on another network .
