Closed headphones shouldn't give you fatigue if they are good, quality cans. I've had these Denon ah-d7000's on for nearly 4 hours now and I'm fine.

You won't find an inline volume control on a good pair of headphones. Ever. Unless they are some earbuds or something for an ipod. Look at Denon, Sennheiser, Grado, Beyerdynamic or AKG for some good, low cost cans. Stay away from the trash that those soundcard companies put out for cans. As...

I hope these are significantly improved and different sounding over my Sennheiser 595s. Anyone have experience with these? I did my fair share of research and they are right up my alley for what I like out of headphones.

12gb is more than enough for anything. I run 8gb (2x4) and went from a 280gtx to 2xati hd 5850's and they blow that gtx out of the water. I would definately go with 2 vids in crossfire or sli.

It seems like ALL ddr3 ram has those huge sinks on them though.

It appears to hold an idle temp of 34c @ 3.7ghz and under load around low 40's. So I don't think my minor modding affected it too much.

So I had to take out the dremel and mod it so my RAM modules would fit. It's not pretty anymore, but at least I can squeeze in 2 modules now. Crummy picture. Digital camera is dead, used phone.

Okay thanks a bunch. I was just confused because the normal pcie slots are much larger than the male contacts on the card.

They don't have the software/drivers made up for Vista for the remote. My Audigy 2 ZS platinum lost a ton of function in Vista. I'm ditching it for an M Audio or something since CL relies on DirectSound and DS isn't even in vista the way it is in XP.

When I go into the Creative Speaker Settings it only allows me to choose from 7.1 Surround Sound whether I have my HD595's plugged in or my Z2300 2.1's plugged in. How do I fix this? I can still go into the Windows Control Panel and choose stereo speakers, but in the Creative software, I can not.

I fixed the crackling/popping. It was resulting from the AMD dual core optimized drivers you get from AMD's site.

It shouldn't be a problem with IRQ's because I didn't have the problem before the format... who knows what the heck the problem is. Could be ANYTHING at this point.
